If you don\'t believe in listening to shows that you didn\'t go to, go home and get rid of all the shows in your collection that you didn\'t go to.  Practice what you preach.

if you can\'t make it to a show in person you shouldn\'t be able to listen to it ever.

Sorry that\'s just the way i feel.

Okay, so if that\'s your mantra, let\'s see.  I\'m guessing that you didn\'t see your first show until you were at least 10, so go home and throw out all taped, bootleg or official live release by any band that took place before 1992.  Then look through your collection and throw out any breakfast show that you\'ve downloaded or any dvd that you picked up at a show that you didn\'t go to.  Now do the same with any other band that you listen to and throw those shows away.

Do realize how ridiculous your comment sounds.  By taking away the taping element, you not only cut off everyone other than the current TB community from hearing the band, you basically cut off the entire music community other than what you hear on the radio.

I\'m sorry, i don\'t follow your logic...

No "At Fillmore East", "Without a Net" or "Band of Gypsys" for you!
Go see your Breakfast, there are starving Leiths in California

Tape or don\'t tape the world keeps spinning...

I wish. More like a grinding halt, followed by an unexpected and would-have-been-apparently-unrelated sharp dropoff and rapid plummet, only to get stuck in the water slide and humiliatingly helped to safety by means of several staff armed with Astro-Glide(TM).

+1 for taping

On a completely unrelated -- but macroscopically related -- note, I think ser fans who actually go to shows when they can should get to listen to the other shows. Then again 99% of people agree with this so I won\'t bother to make a coherent argument. Fitzy-Peck-Vallo-KindMs aka keepers of the tape < to you guys I owe a great debt of gratitude.

I think Nels is trying to encapsulate the idea that TB heads are sometimes like jealous Gods, those who feel so fortunate that they have partaken should enjoy the "ownership" (or pwnership?) benefits on their own. However the jealousy really doesn\'t help us, as you all said,  to spread the word of broseph!

Probably not.

Rumor has it that The Breakfast will be making a change in their taping policy this evening. The press release available by 9 p.m.
