tough loss.

The rangers kind of imploded. I cannot stand how they sit back on the lead. This game was identical to the last rangers v. devils. the only difference was the rangers could not hold on.

But what really pisses me off is how the F the ref can call interference on Straka with less than 4 minutes to go.

Straka and Crosby were both neck and neck fighting to get up ice, Crosby either fell down or dove and they called Straka. Total BS. Neither player was really anywhere near the puck. I\'m not saying the rangers were gonna win but i like the game decided on the ice and not by a bad call.

It is just a continuation of the poor officiating in the NHL.

Totally agree.   Lately, I\'ve noticed contradictions. Especially watching that Caps series.  A certain thing will happen.  No call.  The exact same thing happens again.  Call.   No consistency.

But...in any case....I KNOW the rangers will pull through this series.  Its just one loss.  Tomorrow is another game....

They\'ve been talking about that daily on TSN.

The Rangers loss was entirely disappointing on soooo many levels.  WE NEEEEEEED to win the next two in NY.

On another night I\'ll rant on how Crosby is overrated.....

I was expecting at least some mention of the goal/non-goal.

Can we please simply get a game where the refs are a non-factor ? That is all I ask.

This is what I don\'t understand. There are 2 refs. 1 up high 1 down low. Why does the ref down low who is in a shitty place to view the play decide to blow the play dead when the ref up high would have the better viewing angle.

The Rangers played uninspired hockey anyway but I mean holy crap when they finally had a chance the ref blows the play dead on what would have def. been a goal.

It not only changed the game but potentially changed the entire series. Who knows if the Rangers would have picked up their play after the score.

But regardless the Rangers blew so many power play opportunities, they got the man advantage in some crucial moments and did nothing with it. They played like they did at the end of the season instead of how they played against the Devils and game 1 in this series. If they continue to play like they did last night we might as well get the brooms out.

I am not really sure who dictated the play yesterday. It would seem the pace would favor the Rangers as they should not get in to a run and gun game against Pitt but they had no offense at all and the Pens dominated center ice. Rangers need to get more pucks on net and some traffic in front. Same thing they didn\'t do all season.

When i wrote that last night, I was a little drunk and it was past midnight.   I was trying to control the nonsense that was going to spew out of me.

The whole goal/non goal just shows once again how the NHL officiating this playoff season is a shame.   They lost sight of the puck??  COME ON NOW.  We all know thats just nonsense.

You can say that again.

Somebody better wake up this team for tomorrow night....
