All Stanley Cup Final games should be on NBC PERIOD! If friggin figure skating gets time on network TV, the finals should be on network TV.

Yes, I said Kansas City Scouts.  I alternate between KCS, Colorado Rockies and Devils (Christmas colors - I have both home and away for the red and black, but am still protesting the color changes) sweaters.

Unfortunately figure skating is more popular. I HATE the coverage on NBC anyway their group of announcers are annoying as hell. But I do like Doc.

I am just glad I\'ll be able to see some outof market games

Great scene at the game.  Great first two periods.  Too many blue shirts at a Devils home game and fucking Dancing Larry was in the house.  Devils management was stupid to play his song a second time after knowing he was in the crowd after the first time.  Cudos to The Rock for making this a rangers home game.  Bottom line, my team has become offensively anemic.

Drury does make CT look good....figures he was from Prep and not ND though...

I have to give some props to the goalie, Lundqvist.  He held his own last night....

Since I am outside the MSG area, I was forced to watch Pittsburg vs. Ottowa, on Versus. it was an okay game with the highlights of a late 3rd period brawl (Crosby got a roughing/fighting) and some amazing saves by Flurrey.

I was able to drop in the Rangers game via NHL/TSN.

I\'m pulling for the Rangers here; the Devils have won too much recently, you know?

Did anyone catch San Jose vs. Calgary?

As for media coverage; NBC/VS (US), TSN/CBC (CAN) have national broadcasting rights, however those rights are given to local market outlets, such as NESN in Boston or MSG in NYC. However, the national broadcasts will trump local media coverage.

VS is an awesome channel! All 4 games were available last night on DirecTV. All in HD taboot. Looks to be the same for tonight as well. I could care less about regular season hockey but as soon as the playoffs start I watch as much as I can. Maybe it\'s just me but it seems like the games are more exciting with so much more on the line. The same could be said for any sport though so I guess it just comes down to personal preference.

Does anyone know how to watch the CBC feed on the internet if you aren\'t in Canada? I remember someone posted a mirror last year but I lost the link.

How to view the CBC feeds for the Canadian Television Impaired:

1. Go to any Canadian proxy server (I prefer freeproxy.ca (pops))

2. Once that page completes, enter the CBC\'s web address in the box provided (http://www.cbc.ca)

3. Once the CBC page has loaded, follow the links to the Hockey Night In Canada (HNIC) page.

4. Click the video link for the game, which will open in Windows Media player.

5. Wipe hands on pants and enjoy.

Dallas was dominant last night winning 4-0 on the road. It looked like the defending champs were playing in shoes. They were constantly being out hustled to loose pucks and they were lazy during their power play defense, which resulted in all 4 goals.

Montreal and Detroit look scary good; even though it took Detroit longer to gain control of the game. I don\'t expect either of their series to last more than 5 games.
