Jesus, from a historial analytical view could be the GREATEST FICTIONAL character ever created.

Think about this: the bible is over 2000 years old and noone really questions it authenticity, yet, a book like the Di Vinci Code which is a semi fictional account gets beat on because it opposes or shows you a different view.

Well it could be because many people and events in the Bible have been verified in other historical documents written by people OTHER than those that wrote the Bible.
Dan Brown\'s books get hammered because those that hammer it do not realize it is an ADMITTED work of fiction. Dan Brown writes great stories that build on PARTS of the Biblical history that have been downplayed by the Church as heretical writings. These "heretical" writings have ALSO been verified in other histories. That\'s why they are downplayed and vilified by the Church. These writings seem to be in direct contradiction to Catholic teachings over the past millenium and are perfect fodder for a best sellling book.

As for those that refused your poll in person why would that make them incapable of thinking outside their narrow minds? Maybe they just did not want to take part in a poll or maybe they felt these issues are private and have no place in a public poll. Maybe they felt that you may use the information for no good. Heck there\'s a bunch of reasons why they may not have taken your poll.

Oh and we have been trained as a human race to believe the worst about the jews? WHAT? how do you figure? Maybe in America it has been prevalent to think the worst of jews but the human race? That\'s sounding pretty Joe to me.

I wish I could spend the time to try and explain the 2000 years of history that culminated into what had happened in the 1940s. It is very delicate material that you are dealing with. Very easy to misunderstood. I would rather explain it to you in person. HA, and me sounding like Joe, not a chance guy. I am a history major with magna cum laude. what I tell is real. but I enjoy you intuitiveness.

I fully understand what you may be trying to say but I\'m of the thought that more people are now more inclined to look with more favor on Jews BECAUSE of the Holocaust. I mean having millions of your people executed by a maniac tends to bring out a little sympathy don\'t ya think?

I would say the baby boomer generation and down look upon the Jewish people with sympathy because of the Holocaust. However, antisemitism and anti-jewishness are still out around, have been around and will be around for a long time if not forever. It\'s not that simple to answer. I would like to think that but it is probably, unfortunately not true.
It is difficult to try and explain things without making them dole and boring to those that really don\'t care for history/subject. It is easy to be misunderstood or have what you written read in the wrong light because I forget that I tend to leave gaps of information out because I have been communicated with a class for some long now.

Yeah I get that. I wanted to be a History teacher until I realized that much of the History that is taught in today\'s public schools only goes to reinforce the divisions in Race and Class prevalent in today\'s society rather than help diffuse it. History in todays school and education is nothing more then crap. Kids need to know their history because it tells them who they are and where they came from. But History is suppose to teach you to question things, to think analytically. I refuse to be a teacher because it is like babysitting.

the spelling of the word anti-Semisitism is WRONG, there is no such thing as a semitie and you can\'t be against them. however, antisemitism means to have feelings against Jews.
