Tour Suggestion
« on: October 13, 2004, 11:38:04 pm »
OK after hearing the 10/9/04 acoustic show and realizing that the guys said the mini- acoustic portion of Fall \'03 tour was usually a disaster,I can only come to the conclusion that The Breakfast needs to Present An Evening of Breakfast ala An Evening with Grateful Dead circa \'70-71 and repeated in \'80. This format offered up 1 acoustic set and 2 electric sets.

I feel the mini-acoustic portion of the tour was a disaster @ times due to screwing up the flow of a Breakfast show. I mean once these guys get going if you\'re not dancing get the fuck outta the way ya know? I think if the guys were able to present an acoustic set w/o the mess of setting up chairs, getting other instruments ,moving mics etc. they would be able to give a wonderful performance such as 10/9.

I realize this would only be possible for a full tour once they got a bit bigger and were allotted time to do so. I just think it would be really cool to hear.
Heck they could practice the format on NYE? That would probably get me to sell my TLG/ALO NYE ticket and come on out.

lol Yeah credit card #\'s do that. Well @ least you can burn what you download.
anyway back to the thread discussion if they do a tour such as I suggested they could document it like GD did w/ an electric live album and acoustic live album.

I def. see your point but I just think it would be a great way to introduce some more covers and explore older songs. I just think that if they can perform such as they did on 10/9 it only leads to showing their growing skills as a band and will i think help spawn yet even more songwriting.

I\'m thinking more along the lines of festival organizers and such not just thinking of them as a certain type of band.
