Anyone want to represent the breakfast at a free show?
« on: August 11, 2008, 04:22:18 pm »
Hi,
there is a festival going on this week at the ADC performance center.(same building as Mill Street Brews)      We have 3 tickets for thursday.  The bands playing are listed on the website.
the promoters of this festival asked the breakfast to play at their next festival.
Do you or anyone you know want to go there to:

1. report back how it is and if the breakfast should play at their next festival
2. to promote the breakfast show at Mill Street Brews the following week.

if you are interested please respond to this or send me a message at moestrmoestr@gmail.com

Thank You!

Matt you\'ve been to Mill St before. ADC is a bigger room downstairs. I mean you guys should be playing The Calvin but I dont see why you\'d pass up a mini-festival opp at ADC. Is it getting put on by Wormtown folk?

By the way, Infrequently Asked Questions, lyrically, I was really feelin\' that Up North. You guys really tore it up too bad it was over so quickly!

Send a PM to Kartoon. He lives very close to that venue. :)

i do live like 5 mins away, but unfortunately i got mad stuff going on this week and cant make it there.

that being said, looking at the website, i dont recognize any of the bands playing. i would say dont play it unless they add some other known bands because its probably not going to draw that big of a crowd
break it down, simplify

Thanks for the responses.   Here is some extra info:
the festival is put on by folks who are not related to the jam scene.  They are called "1 loud street"
some of the bands playing can be found here:   http://www.millstreetbrews.com/PC_Events.aspx

i guess the 2 things that would help us to know would be:
1. how many people were there
2. would the audience who was there be a good audience for the breakfast to play for

Something outside of the the jam scene could definitely be a good thing, provided there will actually be people there to hear the band.

I think that any exspore for the breakfast would be good, and that promoting locally (they are playing there in what 2 weeks), also helps...

so...I\'ll be there repping the breakfast during the friday show.
