It\'s a big deal because a President has passed. Not just that but a 2 term Pres. It is a big deal because whether you liked him or not the position of Pres. deserves respect in office and out.

Oh and as far as being dead for the last 10 years I pray no one in any of your families ever gets Alzheimer\'s. It devastates the person and their family and it is not something you can prevent. Anyone who describes an Alzheimer\'s patient as dead or a vegetable is an unfeeling louse who has no respect for other human beings.

Anyone who negotiates for American hostages to remain in captivity for longer than necessary for the sole purpose of furthering his political career is an unfeeling louse who has no respect for other human beings.

Nah man it\'s not like he\'s my great grandpa or anything. I just do not see why anyone would be mad @ a dead guy. I mean he\'s dead what else do u want to happen to him? ya know. As far as my posting abt him, it\'s just that he was Pres. during my formative preteen/teen years and I have fond memories of his presidency and the way that my political views changed as the corruption in his Admin. was revealed. I know all abt the Iran/Contra deal and the Hostages(Poor Jimmy C.). You forgot he invaded a tiny little island too for no real good reason (Grenada). All of this galls me and is one reason I have been skeptical of the Bush Admin from the moment they stole the election. I just feel if people as a whole attempted to remember the good in people instead of rehashing the bad done by said person, the world would be better off that\'s all.

Very well said Leith.
I did not forget about Grenada (or plenty of other things) but the hostages were what destroyed my faith in politicians and their promises to act in the best interests of their constituents. You always remember the one who takes your cherry.
Yes, the man is dead. Now is when people who did not live under his administration will form their opinion of him. What I do not want to see happen is this man declared a saint, carved into Mt. Rushmore and put on the front of the $10 bill.

On a more uplifting note, I am running a Hog 2 in addition to my regular board at work. I remember you saying you are carded for it. Very cool piece of machinery. I wish I was going to have more time to play with it.

Thanks Leith... my grandmother had it and she was far from being a vegetable... very much aware of what was happening to her which made it all the more painful... "an unfeeling louse who has no respect for other human beings" might be slightly over the top, but,  I agree with the point you make and was considering posting to the same efect, but I wimped out...

Nice. I am taking the Hog 3 class next month budget willing. I also just got my hands on an Avolites Pearl and OMG I really am thinking of buying it if I can rent to own. The little color wheel Rocks! gonna use a Jands 1000 @ Baja Bash but that should be fine. I think we got 6 Martin 500\'s and then static front/back for the Main Stage so if you do not make it out Todd is sure to have pics. If you do make it out you can jump on the board for a song or 2 yeah?

As for Reagan I think it\'s probably a lock he will be on some currency in the future. The Dollar Coin is going to have a rotation of Pres. on it getting rid of the Native American Lady Guide of Lewis/Clark I can not spell it but i think its like sacjawega sumthin\' like that.

thank you Joc. It does get rough when we visit and he gets angry over small things. I guess when he can not remember something he gets frustrated and he\'s a prideful man mind you so he does not like to show weakness thus he gets angry to make us leave him alone or something. I don\'t know it sux.
OK gotta get back to my Lakers:)
