Also coming in 2009:

The Breakfast headlines Bonnaroo and holds their 3rd annual Break-fest which attracts 4,874 people.

"Bigger Lebowski"  The Big Lebowski sequel.

Phish get back together for summmer tour...Alpine and Deer Creek are at 80% capacity, Great Woods sells out the day of the show on walkup ticket sales.

In February, Jeb Bush is sworn in as President, succeeding his brother.

In March, Iraq becomes the 51st state.

Sox clinch their 5th wild card in 7 years, lose to Yankees for 5th time in 7 years in ALCS.  Mets sweep Yankees for championship.  (Scott Kazmir wins games 1 and 4 for the Mets.  The trade to Florida was annulled back in March 2005 when new Mets GM Omar Minaya won a lengthy court battle to prove that the Devil Rays knew that Victor Zambrano was hurt at the time of the trade.)

Playoffs start tonight! Angels and A\'s in what is basically a 3 game playoff to get into the real playoffs. I love the Angels chances. Vlad is on fire right now and our pitching seems to have settled. Go Angels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vlad deserves the MVP whether the Angels make it or not. There\'s nobody on the team that cancels out him like Ortiz does Ramirez and Rodriguez does Sheffield. Of course, the Mets didn\'t try to sign Vlad because of his "back problem," and we all know how that worked out.

I also picked the Cubs to win the World Series and we all know how that\'s working out.

For the record, the Angels take the series and the division. The Angels would be one of my two predicted preseason division winners to actually do so, along with the Bronxers.

No degree of predicition mediocrity can hold me down or make me stop typing. But the end of a work Friday can. See yous in October. Oh wait.

Vlad should win MVP his numbers for the Angels are pretty nice. 38 bangers working on an .340+ avg.  and his defense is spot on. What an Arm!  4-0 Angels at the moment and looking for more.

Seeing as how I\'m obviously on a roll, here goes:

Yanks over Twins in 5
Red Sox over Angels in 4
Astros over Braves in 4
Cardinals over Dodgers in 5

Yanks over Red Sox in 7
Astros over Cardinals in 6

Astros over Yankees in 6

Also for the record, here are those I feel deserve the regular-season awards:

AL MVP: Vladamir Guerrero, Angels
AL Cy Young: Johan Santana, Twins
AL Manager of the Year: Mike Scioscia, Angels
AL Rookie of the Year: Zack Grienke, Royals

NL MVP: Barry Bonds, Giants
NL Cy Young: Roger Clemens, Astros
NL Manager of the Year: Phil Garner, Astros
NL Rookie of the Year: Jason Bay, Pirates

Best time of the year,
