Real Irish hate when you use Paddy\'s. ;)

It\'s St. Patrick\'s Day.

I would like to take the time to bitch, piss and moan about MY location (Towson, Maryland) during this show that is taking place about five minutes from house. Last St. Patrick\'s Day was a crazy show (though lightly attended due to a last-minute time change from Happy Hour to 8 p.m.).

st. patrick days = 3rd worst day of the year to go to a bar behind cinco demayo and the wednesday before thanksgiving.

...more commonly known as "the day before Thanksgiving". I\'m not sure why that bugged me so much, though I was proof reading all day, so I guess that part of my brain is just running on all cylinders right now. I kid because I love. Anyway...

I don\'t disagree with your statement, but I think that Thanksgiving Eve is in a class by itself. If you live in a town like Wallingford, where there are basically three bars downtown that cater to the under-35 crowd, Cinco de Mayo and St. Patrick\'s Day (when they fall on weekdays as they do this year) aren\'t that much busier than the average Saturday night.

when I was in southington I lived right next to a plaza with a mexican bar in it, and when I\'d leave for work at 3:30am on may 6th the lot would still be full of drunken idiots. But I\'ve never liked a fire-code packed house, so I tend to just stay home on such holidays.

A couple points...

1. Tim should not play Danny Boy (I love the song, but it\'s basically been banned on St. Patrick\'s Day because it was written by an Englishman that had never been to Ireland).

2. Be proud of your green, leave your orange at home.

3. I can\'t be there, but a request to Tim: can you play "Back Home In Derry".  The chords can be found at the link (http://www.traditionalmusic.co.uk/irish-folk-music/irish%20songs/Back%20Home%20In%20Derry.htm).
The best music is essentially there to provide you something to face the world with - Bruce Springsteen
