Ghent, NY’s The Big Up Music & Arts Festival has changed its 2010 dates to August 5-7. The festival was originally scheduled to take place in June, the same weekend Phish recently confirmed shows at Saratoga Springs, NY’s nearby SPAC. The festival promises: “Three full nights of music, art, and camping on 1500 acres! Music all day and night on 4 stages, with no overlapping sets and beautiful woods & field camping. Music from across the country and around the world with visionary multimedia and visual artists collaborating to create a living landscape of musical entertainment, interactive art and sustainable initiatives in an intimate setting.” The Big Up’s new lineup will be released in the coming weeks.

definitely a good date change. hope the breakfast is still on the bill.

scheduling might need some tweaking im sure.. havent heard any bands not being able to switch to the new dates and im sure the breakfast and kung fu is still on it. with hartford and spac that weekend it was surely a good change

well, if you really wanted to be the only person at the big up then more power to ya.  they had enough conflict last year going against wormtown, i\'m sure they\'d rather draw a decent crowd and have a reason to continue having fests at sunnyview instead of packing it up after losing their asses on this one.

there is always going to be a conflict. or some bs excuse for why attendance is low.

i was looking forward to starting my summer off right with some camping at the big up. but by august i will probably will be too lazy and too low on money to give a fuck about going to any kind of festival. but they dont need my money or care what i think. its all about the phish fans who roll into the fest with RVs and drop the extra hundges on RV passes

good for you. you spent less than i did.

i know my laziness is up to me because i decided on my own all by myself that i absolutely do not want to go camping for 3 days during the most humid part of the summer. im just ser disappointed about the date change and hate that phish is the reason.

Line up is ser! Date change is the logical thing to do. Too humid? Give me a break, lame excuse. Sorry people are fans of Phish and that gets your panties bunched. Maybe you can get em unbunched by the time Aug 5th rolls around and you can come have a great time up at Sunnyveiw Farm. Bring one of these:

yeah its a lame excuse, but this was the 1 festival i was going to go to this summer and camp at and i just dont want to wait to do it in august weather. i would rather find something earlier in the season to do and get excited about that instead.

maybe ill be there if they do day passes and raq and bfast are on the same day. but just like all of you would skip this festival in june to go see phish instead, i dont want to buy a ticket now and sign myself for this version of the big up in case something better comes along.

I prob wouldn\'t have skipped this for Spac, there are enough other north east dates this summer for me to get my fill. When is Camp Barefoot? you considering that one? Probably even hotter down in WV, but I want to go. Hope to see ya soon Fitzy, IH & Stoned Church are comin right up. :hehehe:
