sooo i finally caved and updated my circa-2003 cellular phone for something a little less dated....  i was mesmerized by the iphone and subsequently made a rather hasty purchase... i have my likes and dislikes about the phone, but i guess my overall conclusion is that i like it (though im anxiously awaiting the update scheduled for this summer!)

so yeah, what apps you got?? which do you recommend?? i only have so few its kinda embarassing:

the cool ones:
Pandora
facebook
google earth
rjdj (pretty sweet app! i feel like a dj! ;)  )
last.fm

the uber-nerdy ones:
lexi-comp drugs! (full drug info book in iphone phone! perfect nerdy app for the pharmacist!)
daily sudoku
wordwarp  (anagrams)

shazam is pretty cool. i use that.

friendsync syncs your facebook friends profile photos to your contacts.

remote is free and allows you to use your iphone as an itunes remote via WIFI.

shopper is great as a grocery list tool.  it lets you put in prices and shit so when you\'re making your shopping list, you\'ll always know exactly how much its gonna cost.  i HATE it when i\'m checking out and it\'s like $100 more than i wanted to spend.

todo is a great to do list for procrastinators like me.


seriously though, jailbreaking the phone allows you MUCH more flexibility and other cool apps that the appstore wouldn\'t allow.

long overdue, but here are some peck-recommended apps. all free unless otherwise noted:

PhotoSwap (the most fun, addicting app there is. get it.)
Facebook (sometimes too trimmed down. note there\'s also a mobile web version with more features)
MySpace (sucks, but i use it to check a friend\'s ridiculous status messages, so it works)
Sportacular (great free sports app)
The Weather Channel (best weather app)
Flashlight (comes in very handy, just have to remember to crank your brightness before using)
eBay (pretty useful if you buy/sell a lot; not so much for browsing)
Pandora (fantastic music app)
last.fm (another great music app, especially if you already have an account)
Midomi (use the mic to figure out what song is on wherever you are)
Remote (control your iTunes on your computer remotely)
MiniPiano (fun little piano)
NBC CT Traffic Cams (nuff said)
iWant (find shit near you)
Now Playing (movie app)
Google Earth
VNC (lite) (control your computer remotely. not great, but cool.)
Dictionary.com (awesome to look up words like \'****\' and press the pronunciation button over and over)
Scribble Lite (like paint)
1337pwn (xbox live app)
CardStar ($) (great idea, though i\'ve never seen it actually work...)
PhotoPhoneBook (syncs your iphone\'s contacts with facebook friends. awesome)
Zillow (real estate app. makes awesome use of the gps)
