I think the band needs more exposure on the radio, sirius satellite imparticular. I have heard honey butter several times but there needs to be some more live stuff or other tracks from Moxie. maybe somebody could send in a live show to the sirius studio, or somebody could sign up for those \'roll your own\' dj radio shows on sirius 17 and play nothing but the breakfast. also, i know the jam on studio brings in bands to play live on the air as well as intervie; this would be awesome to hear the breakfast get on that. Raq was on there last fall promoting their new album, and i know that exposure plus many tracks from their new album being played has helped the band gain new followers. it may take time for something like this to happen, but at the next album release this would be ideal.
in terms of the next album, i think it should definitely be taken seriously, should contain all new tracks that nobody has even heard yet, should be concise and hold one theme, but still expand the boundaries like only the breakfast knows how. push yourselves and try things you have never tried before in the studio. write songs on the spot and work them out later. i think the album should contain at least one song that could be considered a radio hit. i\'m not saying i want the breakfast to get poppy and go all mainstream, but a 5-minute catchy song is enough to reel in a lot of new listeners who would otherwise be turned off by 10-11 minute improvisations on a studio album. these are all ideas that are just flowing to me, its what i wanted when i was with my old band but we never made it that far.
and tour everywhere all the time. your own festival should be the goal.
