we saw a burning car ON the way to the show by foxboro, but no accidents on the way back, despite the fogginess

As for the sets- I\'m just not a big fan of the first album.  Probably never will be. The song writing has just evolved so much.  IMO nothing on self titled can compare to Rufus, or Mayfly, Intension, etc. etc.
I loved the second set.  Glad didn\'t miss that encore.

That\'s cool.

But you forgot Puppetry :sonic:

This show was f\'n awesome! First set Psychedelic Breakfast was a real treat. I personally love that album. While the songwriting isn\'t anything too special, the music is fantastic, and it translated very well to the stage. I only noticed the lack of keys a couple times. I was soo pumped to hear Heather (which started with a really funky jam), Frankly Po, and Uncle Freddy which are some of my favorite tunes that hardly ever get played. 2nd Set was the heat! I had mentioned to Gavin earlier that day that I\'d like to hear a love lake, maybe he passed that along to the band, or maybe they are just psychic. Regardless, it got the crowd  going and ready for a fiery set. The Psygn was raging as per usual. I dug the shuffle version of tricky ways, but i don\'t think it should only be played that way. I think its cool how the band plays two versions of the same song i.e. merge/slow merge. On to Lit. I love this song it is so weird but so good. It always makes me dance and i probably look like a ser weirdo but I could care less! This version was awesome, and it was one of my personal highlights of the night. Next, probably the longest FFT ever played due to the keyboard jam. I didn\'t know what the fuck was going on when Adrian walked out from behind his kit, but then he started jammin with Tim on the keys, it was a very trippy jam, but I think Ron was getting bored. Beef and wpoac were pretty standard but great none the less. But then seeing Ronny tear it up on guitar?! Holy shit! All i can say is soooory chip to anyone who missed that. All in all a phenomenal-oddball show. Lots of rare shit going down, and I think that was in response to the low attendance. I think the boys wanted to make folks mad at themselves for missing the show. Oh and Bonzo is the serest of ser gypsies. He came back with me to Hamden and then hitched home today, and made it back safely.

"Chimpanzee\'s were observed fasioning tools used to hunt in senegal"  This came from 89.5 WPKN\'s "Ape Report" from Friday afternoon.....

Amazing show.

Vermont Song "Peace and love surrounding me" acapella outtro was great to hear.  It was short, but I thought it sounded good and hopefully gives them confidence and motivation to continue to work on their vocal harmonizations.

Garcian jam was the same or close to the version on the album, and amazing

Puppetry jam was next level shit......

Love Lake raged hard.

Tricky Ways Shuffle worked and hopefully will remain in the repitoire....

Beef Barley jam was nuts

Save Spears = Guitar Hero

Come see this band again!

Set I was nice, since I\'ve never actually heard the first album (ok, I\'m a newb).

:shock1: :holyshit:
wait are you kidding?  you gotta hear the album or you will be a "newb" for life.
i was lucky enough to have someone burn me a copy of psychedelic breakfast\'s self titled album in high school and definitely feel fortunate to have stumbled across some of the most amazing/magical music i\'ve ever heard. while the first album is not deuce, it is definitely something worth listening to. for me, it\'s the music that got me into the band. i don\'t even have a copy of the album anymore and it\'s not like i can really buy it at this point, but i really recommend that anyone who hasn\'t heard it find a way to listen to it!

i had a great night on friday night even though i wsn\'t at the show, but that first set is something tha ti really hope i get the chance to see someday. you guys are all reaaaally lucky...

on a sidenote, in no way do i commend bonzo for hitchhiking. bonzo, you\'re a fucking idiot. good luck waking up in a bathtub full of ice with your kidneys missing.

He\'ll be alright. I agree that it\'s definitely not the smartest thing to hitch all over the northeast, but he\'s had extremely good luck so far and he can take care of himself. To say that he\'s gonna end up in a bathtub full of ice w/ no kidneys makes me think that you maybe watch too much tv. I would never hitch hike the distances that he does but shit, the kid loves the Breakfast and doesn\'t get the chance to see them that often. He does what hes gotta do.

ser ser ser
this show was nuts.... 1st set was obviously sweet
i brought a first timer, an old high school buddy of mine and he was gettin down the whole show... and i had to keep tellin him that, while the breakfast always sounds as raging, some of the stuff he he was witnessing was pretty rare- i.e. entire first set, keys jam on fft, ronnie and tim switch on the encore...
very fun show... everyone not there is a lame-o
taints rule, gypsies drool!

while i wouldn\'t recommend you to be out hitchhiking, holly, i know i\'ve logged tons of hours/miles hitching myself, and no one did anything to me that i didn\'t ask for. even the deaf guy who was hitting on me by scribbling on the back of a mcdonald\'s bag never got past \'on-deck\' (ie, no bases for him!). the coke dealer (why he thought picking me up as jacked as he was i\'ll never know!) even took me off the highway where i wanted to go, after i sat "in the car and don\'t look around" for a few minutes....

i don\'t even know if i\'d walk four blocks with a mild beer buzz, if i were you, though! ;)
