blades of steel?

i forgot was dragon warrior where you were constantly running across a glowing grid-like field trying to shoot shit in front of you?
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

i would take a shot at hockey!

Would that be Ice Hockey or Blades of Steel?  Ice hockey is the really old game played 4 on 4 where you can pick the size of your guys.  Blades of Steel is the newer game with the cool fight sequence.  Ice Hockey is actually the MUCH better game, 10 times better control and more fun.  BOS is one of those strange games that was immensly popular despite the fact that it sucks.  (Marble Madness being the quintessential example.)

I have both games.  Regardless of which game you were referring to, I will be a 3.5 goal favorite.

Def. not, Dragon Warrior is an RPG.  I believe you may be referring to 3-D World Runner.  That game was a trip!

ah marble madness, with the sloppy control over a marble on different tetris block-like levels (correct me if im wrong wolfy) each more boring and pointless than the last.  if you guys dont have nes or any of the old systems, you can d/l console classix and play the games that way.

Its a pretty tough game, I never beat it, but I never owned it either.  If you\'re in college, I suggest finding a lazy Sunday, start at 10am, and put a sign on your dorm door telling everyone that you\'re not coming out until you beat the game.  People will stop by all day to see how you are doing, and I guarantee you will beat the game that day.  I had to resort to this tactic to finish Bionic Commando (extremely hard) and Solomon\'s Key (absurdly hard).

Bionic Commando could be the hardest game ever, besides Kid Iccirus (spelling?) of course

Both of these games are among the very hardest to be sure.  But trust me, nothing is harder than Solomon\'s Key.  It\'s not only hard, but in the end it\'s stupid hard.  They make you do things that make absolutely no sense at all, like hitting a certain block in the last level 17 times after jumping on it 5 times, with absolutely no indication or hints at all that that is what you are supposed to do.  It\'s not even remotely fair.  At least the other games make sense.  BTW, another absurdly hard game is ninja Turtles 1.  There\'s this narrow corridor near the end of stage 5 that they clearly programmed a few too many enemies into and there\'s no escape.  (There are so many of them, that I would say that the Super Mario Bros equivalent would be Lakitu spitting out 10 Spineys per second.  Try getting past that!)  The only way I\'ve gotten past the corridor is to glitch out the game and make them all disappear with some fancy walking and screen-scrolling at the key enemy regeneration point.

Win or lose you will have fun playing me.  I\'ve got some sick moves in that game that the programmers themselves probably never even dreamed of.
