The U.S.team is one of the best if not the best team the U.S. has sent to The World Cup.
I expect them to make it to the semifinals.

Turns out my neighborhood has a lot of Ecuadorian folks in it. They posted their win today and the sound of car horns started to be heard faintly from outside. On my way to work in the evening I passed about 15 people wearing jerseys and huge smiles. When I got to Manhattan the straight sports bar was packed with drunk, happy central americans.

I have to get my US jersey so I can represent on Monday.

an American rooting for Brazil, let me guess, you also cheer for the Yankees right?

The Poles fought hard but could not break through. Next up for Poland is Germany. That should be a lot of fun to watch. Ecuador played one of their best games for the full 90 and have put themselves in good position to advance to the next round. Thanks for the geography refresher, 7th grade was a long time ago :doh:

ABC had some good shots of Mexico City and the crowd watching the game today. I saw at least four autos with Mexican flags strapped to their hoods on my way to work. It was still an hour until game time.
