The Breakfast is by far my favorite band. I\'d love to see Tim slow down some more, draw out notes a little more often. dont get me wrong, his runs are absolutely sick and no doubt what separates him, but id have no problems waiting just a little longer for those back-breaking moments. theyd have more substance in the long run, instead of being one in a billion.

at the same time, who gives a fuck.. there are four reasons they rock my nuts off, and the guitar is one. as long as they stay together and keep loving music, ill be there loving their music.

a couple things i know:

- the show was sold out in advance.

- you can thank the House Of Blues™©® for not allowing the show to be recorded.

the show last night was fucking sick.. the band was so tight. sold out crowd, place was packed to the t.
first off, the music: i thought WUIAC was a great opener to loosen up. with a crowd that big and a venue that sick they had to be nervous, but they settled down immediately with WUIAC.
Future Peek was really cool. i think the song has a nice chill vibe, the melody is a bit obvious but it still feels good. the jam rocked the fucking place, well at least some were rocked (ill comment on that later). huge peak in FP.
Then Rufus. you knew it was coming, i wasnt sure when in the set. most people kind of bobbed around for the intro until the reggae groove dropped, and the place was definitely feeling it. best moment for the crowd all night was the first verse from Rufus. it got loud for a little while and the huge crowd was finally moving collectively. Rufus jam = :jawdrop: :drool:  they absolutely tore it up, felt like they were beating the shit out of their instruments. sooo much energy and perfect transition into the slower jam at the end. the segue into..
Tricky Ways was absolutely fitting for the HOB. honestly i didnt care for the song first time i heard it on Thursday night, but they ripped it up last night. it was great and most of the crowd seemed to enjoy the vibe during it. i like the song a lot now, it makes for solid switches and diversity in sets for the future.
The Late And The Great > Over Exposure was my highlight of the evening. beautiful jam in tLaTG, and a smooth seg into OE after the explosion at the end. ive been jonesin for a live Over Exposure and it did NOT let down. this song is a goddamn beast. Ellis-D was absolute $$$ on lights. great moment was when tim busted out his rant (i guess its about Blubladan and the drug or whatever the song is about) and Ellis was on cue dropping a spotlight on him with a black backdrop, and then just throwin colors around during the dance groove. the song just owned me.
The Chase was typical, i thought it made sense cuz the song is easier to grasp for noobs.

just one comment about the crowd, Large in numbers and Small by nature. there were a handful of people gettin down but for the most part people seemed confused. Gavin said he heard a few people yelling "too many notes". I heard there were 1200 people in the sold out show, and ONE person bought a cd from Gavin. we had to vent for awhile over the issue.

Jordan was still ecstatic about the feeling he got playing on a stage like that with a pool of heads under lights and their music. the sound was phenomenal too. i was in front of a huge cabinet of speakers Sequoia side, so everything sounded fantastic. i think Gencs said he thought the guitar couldve been turned up. but shit, it was a special night for me. running up the stairs of my favorite venue and hearing WUIAC blaring from the stage was quite a feeling. i just wish more people understood the music. i guess thats what you get when you open for a crowd there for some laid back reggae.

This was so long ago I decided to give you guys some of the back story of the thread. I have been sitting on this video for ever know and have always meant to put it up. This show was definitely special and I can only assume was one of the breakfasts biggest to date. I filmed a little bit of Over Exposure and thought ya\'ll might like seeing it.
