I got Vicodins prescribed, and I was eating Triple Cheesburgers at Wendy\'s that same night.

I say 20% Dave is at this show...IMHO.  :)

i agree w/whomever gave dave a 20%; it is kinda awful, youre pretty much out during the surg but wake up all bloody, and the pain doesnt really kick in till the next day when you swell up like a squirrel ready for hibernation.  (((Dave))))

matt & I are planning to be there as long as everyone here is healthy.

well, i\'ve heard of people having pain-free extractions, and i\'ve heard of people being in horrible pain for days. i\'m hoping for me it\'s the former, in which case i\'ll definitely be at the show.. but i\'ll be pushing extra hard to be there anyways, since it\'s al\'s last NE show.

Should we rename this the Official Wisdom Tooth  Thread?

I think Dave is right in that it varies from person to person. If yours came in relatively straight then you should be fine. If they are impacted or something, well, good luck buddy. My last wisdom tooth surgery was terrible. I have been getting mine out one at a time due to no health insurance; it\'s a real bitch. Three down, one more, which really hurts, to go.

Al, you got yours out in 6th grade?! Most people don\'t start to get them in until they are 20.

I had them out in 6th grade.  I remember feeling more awkward in the mouth than actually feeling any pain.  I was prescribed some pain relievers but I didn\'t take/purchase them.

Move in with me and I\'ll hook you up with dental insurance.

I have been the same height since 7th grade too.  I was recently wearing some shoes that I\'ve had since back then.

but you know what i just remembered, i was in college, and had a project due the week i had the wisdom teeth out, and my partner had them out the day after i did, it was really bizarre.  anyway, i was miserable as hell, and he was practically laughing at me.  he never even took any pain meds or anything and was like "im so sorry, but it just doesnt hurt!"

I had mine taking out and i was out playing cards that night.  I think it all depends if your teeth are impacted.  If so, i guess it\'s pretty painful for a day or two, but if not, like mine were, you should be good enough to go to the show.
