Charlie Hunter Trio this evening at Red Square (I\'m opening)
« on: February 15, 2008, 02:39:11 pm »
If anyone from the Albany area wants to head down to Red Square...Im playing with a band called Pungee for Happy hour (about 530-7), before the charlie hunter show that starts around 830.  Pungee is a 6-piece funk/jazz/R+B group with scofield-based guitar, bass, keys (B-3, Fender Rhodes, Synth), drums (me), tenor sax, and trumpet.

Any tapers?

I\'m listening to the Northampton show right now and it\'s solid.

Man, that\'s a nice opening slot dave. Funny too, just knocked the dust off of my old Charlie Hunter Quintet album a few days ago. Good for you guy.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash
