Leftover Salmon will return to the stage for the first time in 27 months this summer. The group last performed on New Year’s Eve 2004. The returning lineup features a number of Leftover Salmon mainstays, including Vince Herman (acoustic guitar, vocals), Drew Emmitt (mandolin, guitar, vocals), Jeff Sipe (drums), Greg Garrison (bass, vocals), Bill McKay (keyboards, vocals) and Noam Pikelny (banjo). As of now the group has confirmed three performances: July 7 and 8 at Quincy, CA’s High Sierra Music Festival and July 15 at Masontown, WV’s All Good Music Festival.

I\'m not sure if anyone on this board even likes this band, but I love the tunes... Can\'t wait to see them this summer & I hope they stick around for a while!

Hopefully they have re-energized. They were once a very good band.

they\'ve got some great shows on the archive. anything until about 99/00  is absolutely wonderful. they were THE BEST BAND AROUND in 1997, hands down. talent, energy, creativity, fun... everything you could want out of a band and more! while i\'m not nearly as much of a fan of this incarnation (just get rid of bill mckay already!), the fact that apt Q258 is back on drums makes me very glad!  now, if they could just get ty back on bass and, like, rev mosier on banjo....

get yourself some old ARU shows and find out why he\'s called that! :)  there\'s some good \'uns on the archive. apartment Q258 is also known as jeff sipe, one of the best drummers on the planet. he just toured with trey last time around, and if you remember, folks thought trey sounded better than he had in a while on that last tour. sipe\'s the reason! watching him drum is one of the coolest things... so completely relaxed, totally natural and at ease, yet doing these amazing, organic, intricate things... and all while smiling. dude rules. the last time i saw jazz is dead, jeff was drumming with rod morgenstern. the rythm devils-like stuff they pulled off all night was stunning! heavyness and fluidity playing with each other... but i digress...

Jeff Sipes is awesome!! I used to be a HUGE Leftover fan. Took many photos for them back in the day. Hopefully the new LS will be great.

This is GREAT news.  I\'ve been seeing these guys since around 1993 or 1994, and they have always been in my top 5 or 6 favorite bands.  They are similar to tB in that it seems like they often try to play as many notes as fast as possible.

Drew Emmitt is a total bad ass... he plays anything with strings and has a terrific voice as well.  Also, I agree that they were at their peak in the late 1990\'s with Jeff Sipe on drums... he is incredible.  It\'s a damn shame what happened to Ban Jovi... he is tough to replace.

Can\'t wait to see them again!
