1950 *** Gov\'t Experiments

These 9 drawings were done by an artist under the influence of *** -- part of a test conducted by the US government during it\'s dalliance with psychotomimetic drugs in the late 1950\'s. The artist was given a dose of *** 25 and free access to an activity box full of crayons and pencils. His subject is the medico that jabbed him.

First drawing is done 20 minutes after the first dose (50ug)

Quote
An attending doctor observes - Patient chooses to start drawing with charcoal.

The subject of the experiment reports - \'Condition normal... no effect from the drug yet\'.

2 hours 32 minutes after first dose.

Quote
Patient seems gripped by his pad of paper.

\'I\'m trying another drawing. The outlines of the model are normal, but now those of my drawing are not. The outline of my hand is going weird too. It\'s not a very good drawing is it? I give up - I\'ll try again...\'

His drawing at 2 hours 32 minutes is better than mine would be sober. :(

I feel weird saying it, but I loved the drawing at 2 hours 45 mins.

The second sketch looks cubist for sure.  And I agree that\'s it\'s pretty damn good.

(The guy/gal was obviously talented to start with.  Interesting to see how the acid tapped his senses.)
Just looking for peace.  Seriously.

looks like dude got pretty spun out from only 50ug... which is like half a decent dose. I\'m surprised his second drawing was really all that much different.

Now when its hard to pick up the pencils because they keep squirming away form your fingers.. that\'s different.

oh wait, "jabbed him". I suppose intramuscular *** would have greater bioavailabilty than that passed through the gut or taken sublingually as we do today. But still, psychiatric doses in the 60\'s were usually like 500ug.
Put the pointed pencil in the pepper-po and take a little sniff of the things below. :sadban:

Probably the worst decision of my life.
