I wonder if this is enough time for Yoda to figure out how to get to this one?

It ain\'t happening...  Too far away from the kids in case of emergency...  If it was at Donnegals or Mexicali, I\'d be there...  It\'s difficult to get away with one kid, but with two it\'s even harder... Hence, me not bitching here...

Emergency?  You really need to get some balls and go out for a few hours.  Healthy marriages definitely allow for nights out.  Wife can\'t take care of the kids herself?  I\'m sure you wouldn\'t mind if the wife wanted to get out for some recreation.

I think Tim should call you out in this thread too!

Let him...  I really don\'t need your\'s or Tim\'s or anyone\'s approval on why I make what decisions I do...  Believe it or not, I do go out, but I\'ve got a kid that\'s almost 2 and one that\'s 3 months old; you try and take care of two kids those ages for any extended period of time by yourself and you tell me how easy it is to do...  It\'s not easy and I give my wife all the credit in the world for being able to do it by herself while I\'m at work...

But that\'s just it, you are saying she watches them all day when you\'re at work, a much longer time away than the show would require.  Suddenly the evening rolls around and it\'s too much to handle the two alone?  You don\'t need to get too defensive, I\'m just picking apart the weak arguments for why you cannot go.  At least say that you have to work late, volunteer or have a birthday party to go to on the day of the show or something else that cannot be dismantled with ease.
