That sucks Joc. Enjoy the time you have with her.
I\'m so sorry, this is so sad. It\'s horrible when a pet is sick and there is nothing you can do for them.
oh joce...

very very sorry to hear that.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
Joc - I\'m really sorry for your loss.
hey lady...that is a real bummer....sending you much love and many hugs...
I remembering having to do the same thing a couple years ago. i know how tough it is to have to make that decision. but it may have been for the better than to have to see or know they are suffering. don\'t let it discourage you from saving another pup and at the very least make there time, how ever short, that much better for the both of you.
Joc I am sorry. Years ago I had to do the same to what was a healthy crazy 6-year old black lab. She got sick, they couldn\'t figure out what was wrong, and a week and about $3k later she was gone. I am really sad for you. Hang in there.

wow joc. i\'m so sorry that it had to come to this.
i had to put my dog java down a few months ago and it was one of the hardest things i\'ve ever had to do..got her as a pup when i was 8. java was still happy and wagged her tail right up until the moment we had to put her to sleep, but her health was deteriorating so much everyday. i still miss her--especially when i go back to my parent\'s house and she\'s not around. it\'s so strange to not have her following me around the house and barking at all of the neighbors/mailman as she did for 14 years. even though i\'ll never have another dog like her, i hope to adopt another someday when i have the land to do so.
it\'s really heartbreaking to see your pet suffering when there isn\'t much that can be done for them. as much as we love our pets, it\'s a lot better for them to not live in pain.
when i had to put java to sleep, someone sent me that same excerpt on the rainbow bridge. my family kind of had a little day of rememberance for her and donated money to the animal shelter we adopted her from in long island. maybe doing something in memory of sadie can give you some relief. hang in there and try to think of how much of a difference sadie made in your life. i hope that when things settle down you are able to find another dog that will make you just as happy.
I\'m sorry for your loss Jocelyn.
