As of today, I can now officially say I am on the eight year plan. The school gave me a medical leave for the semester because I missed too many classes, all my midterms, and my teachers wouldn\'t give me a break because I was sick and in the hospital. That now puts me a full year behind at this school (did not transfer any credits from SCSU). Been out of high school for 6 years and still cannot get out of my sophomore year!!!!
For all of you working types, I need some insight. Is $30k/year a good salary without a degree?
If I made 30k/year, Freddie would be puking on me
Oh, and I do not have a degree. Would depend on what field you wanted to be in I suppose.

30k is usually a pretty good start for no degree, but as todd said it depends on what your doing - doctor, not so good, mcdonalds, ser.

I am no longer considered an intern since they gave me the raise in January. So I guess I am an entry level "graphic artist" at a prepress shop. I mostly make/change/create Nutrition Facts panels for vegetable packages for companies such as Stop and Shop. So next time you buy frozen S&S brand veggies, look near the UPC, if the code is between 0904-0305 (month/year), that was me, heh. And for you non northeasterners, I probably do your supermarkets too.

hey that sucks man, but don\'t sweat it. i\'m on a 7 year plan myself. its frustrating.... but honestly for most college students now, you need at least 5 or 6 years to even figure out what you want to do.
i\'m in no hurry to get a full-time job personally... i enjoy the freedom and flexibility that comes with being a student. besides, who can argue with summer vacation?
<------------ graduated on the 7 year plan.... 1 major, 2 minors before I finally decided what I wanted to do.
don\'t feel bad, I am the real life Tommy Boy. It took me 8 years to graduate college, slept through most of my final exams, still working to finish the degree. 30k is a decent salary to start at.
There are many graduates in the UK who start on about $30K. Unless wages have gone out of control in the US, then that would seem to be pretty good.
Sorry, starting at 30k is actually not that bad, misunderstood (as usual)
