so, i was killing time at the guitar store last night, and came across this semi hollow schecter that i really liked. the price is a deal, my 14y/o mexi-strat is seriously hurting (its in such bad shape that i\'m too embarassed to take it in to get tuned up) and i really like the way it plays. i\'ve been researching them this morning some, and i was wondering if anyone around here has any experience with them? good, bad, indifferent?

Schecter guitars are great at the price point. They look, feel and play superbly. But...Plan on spending some extra cheese and replace the pickups with something sweet and boutique. Check out Tom Anderson, Grosh guitars, John Suhr, Terry McInturff and even some of the PRS pickups. You, me and everyone else would be blown away by the sound of it. Oh, and wait until after Christmas and buy it from Seanie Miller @ Daddy\'s Junky Music. He\'ll hook you up. Happy Holidays people. I\'m wearing a t-shirt here in Georgia.

Happy holidays to you as well!! And....it was so warm here tonight as well...no jacket required!!!
I don\'t like the way any Schecter I\'ve tried has played. But supposedly their quality is good, so if you do like the way it plays .. well
hey check it out, ever heard of Harmony-Central they have mad reviews for all guitar gear.
http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Guitar/product/Schecter/C%2FSH-1/10/1See what a lot of people who actually owned it had to say.. apparently that guitar is rated pretty highly!
well, i just couldn\'t help myself. it played so incely and sounded so sweet... well, i just had to.... and luckily jill couldn\'t or wouldn\'t interfere with my childlike exhuberance, even if it was an financially irresponsible decision. but hey, i talked the guy down from 440 before taxes to a nice, round 420 total. seriously. when he came back from talking to his manager, he said, \'we can have you walk out the door for $420 and jill just started laughing. "yeah, i guess you
were supposed to buy this guitar, huh???!!" my fingers are now sore!!

That does look pretty sweet. I wish more guitars were offered in 1-piece maple necks w/ maple fingerboard though... no matter how nice the guitar is having my fingers touch rosewood just ruins it for me.
I understand most people do not have this problem though

...
Well I did get a nice gift certificate for the local music store..... hmmmmmmmmmm
"Merry Christmas to me"

congrats on your new baby
thanks all!! i\'m *really* glad i decided to get her. i\'ve been needing a new electric for a long time and i just knew right away that it was gonna be that one! she sounds and plays sooo nice...
and yeah, while i would prefer a maple fingerboard, i\'ve got no problem with the rosewood, especially with the way this one sounds!

well, this post is a couple years old, but i\'m finally gettnig around to swapping out the pickups (and adding a piezo pickup!). any further advice? is sean still at daddy\'s?
i need 4-conductor humbuckers for my schecter semi-hollow body. i\'m thinking about the new seymor duncam p-rails, but wanted to get some more input/ideas before pulling the plug.... i\'ve got a buddy who knows how to do all kinds of stuff (he built me modified tube screamers and a switch box so i can change my delay time on the fly!) who\'s gonna help with the installation, but i need to get the hardward first.
Replacing schecter with sphincter brings a whole new meaning to this post. It must be Friday!!!
I just paged him. Let\'s see if he surfaces or if I will dictate and get a response.
