huh huh, todd likes sphincter pickups!! he\'s durty!!!

thanks sir spacey!! i\'m reading a bunch of harmony central reviews right now....
Hey, you\'re the one talking about humbuckers for your semi-hollow body.
Schecter is hardware specific.
meaning that i have to use specific hardware?
meaning that i have to use specific hardware?
Meaning that Schecter guitars need Schecter hardware.
hmmmm, everything i\'ve read about them says that the best thing you can do is to swap out the pickups, like was suggested here... i distinctly remember that when i was reading up on them, everyone talked about switching the pickups... guess i need to do more researching!
thanks!!

I\'m not done here.
You can swap out the pick ups and replace them with anything you like.
Humbuckers will ALWAYS give a warmer tone. Single coils are sharper and biting. Think Clapton.
oh, i know the differences. right now i have dual-use pickups, humbuckers and single coil. the seymor duncan p-rails would even add a third tone to them. as long as i use the same mounting rings, i think swapping pups should be no problem. i think.
i also was looking at a set of pups that replicate specific tones, in this case, clapton\'s tone from wheels of fire....

OK, remember that I am a third party and communicating via text, so he might not be getting the info right from me.
You should have no real problem swapping pick ups.
Is there a certain pick up you want him to look for?
ok, i\'m back. we had a group lunch with team building excercises afterward (ie, we all ate together then played games).
does he have any opinion on the seymor duncan p-rail, the john suhr dsv\'s or Fralin humbuckers in general. as of right now, i\'m leaning to fralin.

You probably are already aware of this site but you\'ll get a lot more help there than you will here. peace
yup, thanks! i\'ve been looking at that site so much, i\'ve over-educated myself and can\'t keep things staright anymore! lol
i think i\'m gonna go with fralin. they custom make pickups based on your specs, so that\'s probably gonna be my choice.
