I never met him either  but he seemed to have great enthusiasm for life. Sounds like he was a great teacher and really loved by his students as well. I suspect he was one of those rare and awesome kind of teachers you never forget who really engages their students makes learning a fun and enjoyable experience everyday.

I am saddened to hear this news. I feel that it is only right to express my deepest sympathy to his family, friends and students. I knew MakisupaPJ from the moment he replied to the Fresh Cut Welcome thread. We traveled to many shows together, enjoyed many times together. He was who he was but he loved to have a great time. He definitely cherished the relationship he had with the B-fam. I remember numerous good times and how grateful he was to all of us for welcoming into our family.

It sucks to hear about these things but it seems like many of us are at the age where death is becoming a normal part of life. It makes you cherish all of the good health that we have and the makes the days that much more special.

I spoke to PJ enough to consider him a friend. I can\'t tell you how much it hurts to see my friends die before they ever really experienced life.

You can never tell your friends enough how much they mean to you. How much you love them. How much you care for them.
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be ever at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And the rain fall softly on your fields
And until we meet again, May God hold
you in the hollow of his hand

that is sad.  he was always such a happy guy when he was around at a breakfast show or tim solo.  i watched that news video a couple months ago and was happy to see him still out there his usual smiling self.  he will be missed.

Very sad.  He seemed like a very upbeat and humorous guy.

He was pretty active and athletic so it\'s a big shock to hear about.  Kind of reminds me of a semi-pro biker friend of mine who died from heart failure unexpectedly in his sleep a few years ago at age 29.

So true space man. I am very sad about this. Even though I never met PJ, I almost feel like I knew him anyway, he was a very positive presence on this board and I did consider him part of my extended Breakfast Family. RIP :(

So, so sad.  Like many on .info, I had never met PJ, but felt like I knew him through his posts. I\'ll always remember him replying to a post of mine, saying "hope to meet you someday."  His positive attitude and humor were always a welcome read.  My condolences to his family and friends, may he rest in peace.  Like Billy Joel sang "only the good die young."  I guess that\'s why I\'m still around.
