I hate the Church of Scientology!  They have been bugging me for years.  My friend and I were wandering down Sunset Blvd. about five years ago when we were asked if we wanted to take "Personality Tests".  We had nothing else to do so we took the tests.  Afterwards, some "expert" was trying to translate the results to us and basically tried to tell us that his findings were troubling and that there were many bad aspects to our personalities that needed to be fixed immediately.  The next step was trying to coax is into buying some bogus Scientology books.   We blew off the guy and continued on our adventures.

They began to send literature frequently afterwards because I had quickly signed my name and address to the liability waiver before taking the test.  They even attempted to call me in the years that folllowed.  The worst stunt was when they sent me a bill for $3.60 for the unpaid balance of some books that I never purchased.  I called them and made some threats if they didn\'t stop contacting me. After telling them that their organization totally sucked and should go to hell their response was: "Are you interested in Scientology?"

Those people are so screwy.

yeah there are crazies in grand central that asked me if i wanted to take a stress test, so i did and they basically asked me if i was stressed, and made me hold onto these metal things that were attached to a meter and when i said, "yeah i\'m stressed" the dude turned a knob that made the meter go up.  i said "umm.. dude you made that meter go up... and you needed to ask me if i\'m stressed."  totally ignoring me, he started telling me about the reactive mind and how it is the root of all our stress and the man that discovered the reactive mind (L. Ron Hubbard) wrote these amazing books that i should buy for the INCREDIBLY DISCOUNTED price of 9.99 each.  i told him i wasn\'t interested, but he wouldn\'t shut up.  eventually i walked away.
Postcount +1.

Aw cmon.  Look, they\'re not normal by any means, but all they do is go around to festivals and give medical care to the most severly tweaked-out in-serious-danger heads.  I had to take a friend down to their tent one time at Berkfest and what I saw was some of the scariest **** I\'ve ever seen.  ODing heads completely disassociated, foaming at the mouth, convulsing, basically about to die, and the Free Peoples are out there taking care of them as volunteers.  I saw this one 250 pound dude suddenly come to, rip his IV\'s out, and start trashing the whole place, it took 7 of them to restrain him.  You don\'t have to be down with living on a bus with 15 other super-duper heads, but I gotta stick up for those people.  They\'re not a religious cult, they\'re merely the unsung miracle workers of the entire scene.
