Fresh mushrooms are a little better because they contain more Psilocin as opposed to Psilocybin which is created as a result of phosphate-esterification of the original molecule. The longer they\'ve been kicking around the more Psilocybin you have (which is almost the same but not quite as transparent on the body and subjectively different psychologically) and if they\'ve been kicking around long enough the Psilocybin will degrade into something inactive or significantly less active.

So, short answer, just eat them relatively soon, they\'re fine. Maybe not as good as when they were picked from the earth (or some massive casing) but still good.

Putting shrooms in honey does speed up the breakdown process of active chemicals in mushrooms, no matter how old they are. Unless you intend to freeze your honey, this kind of moist environment is a poor long term storage option for the 4-substituded tryptamines you are actually intending to eat.

BTW search using the spelling "ayahuasca" and you get more results ... and yes I have tried. I\'d rather eat some shrooms or smoke DMT. Ayahuasca was an alien mind-**** with little psycho-analytic, recreational, or understandable entheogenic value in comparison.

Ayahuasca = DMT + reversible MAO inhibitor so it\'s active when you eat it. (ok the actual recipe specifies plants to use, but this is the science)

Psilocin (Fresh Shrooms) = 4-ho-DMT (+ other alkaloids of lesser but some significance) which is a substituted form of DMT which crosses the blood brain barrier at a much higher potency.

Basically what I\'m saying is, if you aren\'t impressed by mushrooms, don\'t expect ayahuasca to blow your mind either. It just might **** the **** out of it as ayahuasca is difficult to dose in terms of projected response and also just seemed very alien to me.

Ayahuasca is also a great way to meet entities so understand which ones are projections of yourself and which ones are not. There is a methodology to this but .... yeah

(you can also just put 60-200mg of DMT in a gel cap and eat it like half an hour after eating some harmaline extract... be warned 200mg will put your soul through a blender, and 60mg might feel like barely anything. Tricky to dose even with pure ingredients)
