Seriously. I
**** hate the mall. I\'d blame it on being older, but that wouldn\'t give me an excuse for the previous 28 years of loathing the building every time I\'ve gone in there. It\'s not the building per say though, as I hate all malls. I hate everything about them. Other than a heated indoor treadmill for the elderly in the winter and something for kids with nothing better to do than waste their teenage years away in, what purpose does it serve? They
**** the country of the mom and pop stores that made towns unique long before most people in New England had ever heard the word \'Wal-Mart\'. Wal-Mart was just more efficient at it and brought everything in under one store name. Today was the first time I went to a mall since before the holidays in december and it never changes. The yuppies, the stores, the products, the pathetic excuse for capitalism that we call commerce or the overweight people stuffing themselves on discount sales for stretch elastic pants, complaining that they don\'t make any in their size while walking over to the human trough called a food court to gorge themselves on the crap they call food and then wondering why they are overweight so they buy the newest product as seen on tv guaranteed to loose 10lbs in 15 minutes as long as you buy this (and also follow the same \'sensible diet and workout program, results not typical\' that they all require) if you want to actually have results while eating your deep fried god-knows-what. At least I got the new rush and NIN albums, my punishment for not ordering them online like I should have.
Only in america. I
**** hate the mall.

I avoid them like the plague. I never go to the mall. We didn\'t sped tim ethere that much as kids. I think its a man thing. I don\'t know too many guys who window shop. Women can do that all day. I go to buy stuf when I need to buy stuff. Not to simply browse through endless wasted money choices.
But I did got to an FYE the other day. I haven\'t actually stepped foot in an actual music store in years. I had way too much fun tho. I don\'t think I have ever been in a music store when I had a real job and could get whatever I wanted.
I bought all sorts of CDs. New to me stuff, stuff I needed to replace (You know the cds that somehow grow legs and you never see them again even tho you still have the case for them) and just random stuff i have wanted.
This is what I got:
Sublime - Sublime
Blood Sweat And Tears - The extended Versions (live)
Black Crowes - The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion
Beck - Mutations
Iron Maiden - Peace of Mind
Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life (24 bit remastered)
Eric B and Rakim - Paid in Full
Radiohead - OK computer
I could have spent so much more but was running out of time. Sure was fun tho
hahaha very understandable.
i have gone from being a little westchester, ny mallrat girl to honestly only going when i actually need to. i would be lying if i said i hated the mall, but i definitely no longer love it the way i used to. i guess that being broke and in college has a lot to do with that as well...
i personally DESPISE going there around the holidays. i seriously feel like i\'m on the verge of a panic attack when i walk around the mall from thanksgiving->xmas eve and even in the month or two after that period. it can really be too much for me to handle.
at this point in time, if i go to the mall, i really only go because i want to go to one store and get the hell out...whereas back in the day, i hung out at the mall A LOT.
Although its something that cant be avoided by most like a..........(Traffic Jam!!!!) The "Mall" to me is pretty much the same thing, gives me the same kinda feeling.
are you on drugs, paul?
Only if you count endorphins obtained over the 4+ hour bike ride training regime I\'ve been hitting every other day.
To me the mall is like a war zone. You need to have a clear plan of attack before pulling in. I know exactly what I need, where it is, how much it will cost and I have planned my arrival around \'normal\' people’s schedules so as to not have to deal with any of them. Today was all wrong though. I went at 6pm when everyone was out of work, and fyi that I parked near didn\'t have the new rush album, so I walked up to best buy, getting more and more disgusted with every person and store I passed. Man, I can be really anti-social when I want to.

"One: I don\'t like you. I see you every week in this mall. I don\'t like you shiftless layabouts. You\'re one of those
**** mallrat kids. You don\'t come to the mall to shop or work. You hang out and act like you
**** live here. Well, I have no respect for people with no shopping agenda." -Shannon Hamilton
<< loves hangin at the mall.
I\'m with ya freddie, where else can you observe every facet of american life?? You got your upper crusties, your poor folk who cant afford to pay to hang out somewhere, and your middle american depressed shmuck just to name a few. I personnaly find it entertaining and enlightening every time i walk through those glorisous sliding doors.
Seriously. I **** hate the mall.
:thunderous applause:
I hate shopping period. Which is why whenever I am not at work I could be mistaken for a homeless guy with my sick fashion sense.
The main thing with the mall is all the people there are just wasting time. They\'re in way and they\'re everywhere.
Also what I find frustrating to no end is those little mall maps by the entrance are of no use to me b/c the names of the stores rarely indicate what they sell.

You got some great CD\'s. Every one a winner. I\'m way due for a run like this. All I\'ve got is empty cases. Paid in Full maybe the greatest hip hop album of all time.
However the
worst shopping experience known to man is on Marsh Hill Road in Orange. Had to go there to pick up a birthday cake (the wife\'s) @ Julia\'s on Saturday. Nothing in these stores but
**** junk, and these people with carts chock full of nick nacky
**** that just adds clutter to your home. Might as well just ligh your money on fire. Could feed starving kids in Africa with the money. I hate wasterfulness. I hate clutter. Every single person agonizingly slow with their obese waddles in the parking lot. Wanted to hit them with my car.
id have to say on a normal day im indifferent. when im in a bad mood, hate it. when im in a really good mood, i love everywhere, including the mall. i do almost all of my shopping online now, though. ill go to the mall to try on shoes to make sure theyre the right size before i order em. i understand the beef.
oh, and although buying cd\'s at FYE may give you instant gratification, it really burns a whole in the wallet. all yous out there that still dodge yourmusic.com are fools. and i mean that, fools. 2 Songs In The Key of Life on yourmusic for the price of 1 at FYE. think about it.
I get 95% of my paid for music from yourmusic.com. Even with the recent $1.00 price jump, it can\'t be beat. And yeah...I fuckin\' HATE malls with a passion!!
im a fan of the food court/hotties..

buying new releases at best buy the first week=same price with shipping and handling I would have paid at amazon. I don\'t purchase music enough for a site like yourmusic to work for me.
I can\'t wait for the Breakfast to start covering either No Speak No Slave or My Morning Song.
Then maybe the southern states will start giving this band some
**** respect. (no offense to our southern .infoers)
