<<- I love mine... I don\'t go anywhere without it!
I\'m pretty much happy with mine. The only issue that I\'ve had with it is that it freezes up every once and a while. I\'ve heard that people have issues where they lose all their music and have to re-load everything; that\'s why I bought an external and used a SENUTI-like program to back up my iPod.
care to elaborate?

i don\'t know wha happon. i was adding music from my girlfriends mac then after i ejected the ipod i had nothing. unfortunately i hadn\'t gotten around to getting an external hard drive yet. what a doozie.
I\'m wondering if you lost everything because you hooked up to a different itunes than your home and sync\'d up with that version. If that version of iTunes didn\'t have all the music on it that yours did and you sync\'d you will lose everything. All of your files should still be on your computer as long as you didn\'t delete them from the iTunes file on your computer. Try and go onto your CPU and sync up and see if you get anywhere with that. Wost case scenerio, the actual files are in a file folder with weird names. If you have the time, you can listen and re-key all the tunes, but that\'s a lot of work.
sounds like the itunes on her mac was set to automatic updates and it wiped out everything. set it to manually update and you shouldnt have these issues. my ipod is the best thing that ever happened to me

definitely sounds like user error.
wah wah... sorry papa! better luck next time.
In case it comes up for anyone, I recently used
http://www.iresq.com to fix my busted LCD on my Ipod. It wasn\'t cheap ($70 I think) but they were very, very good. I ordered on a Tuesday, they sent a box to me overnight with padding to fit the Ipod and return postage on it already. Got that Wednesday and sent it back out same day, Ipod was back in my hands working perfectly on Friday.
ipods do suck. Over priced. No radio. No voice recorder. Can\'t mount it as a normal USB drive. Stupid encryption. And your mommas got one too.

to be honest with you george, i\'d probably be pretty pissed if anything happened to my ipod. sorry to hear about your loss...
Wait after having y\'all Ipods for 4-5 years and see how happy you are.. And all these built in car-hook ups? Hook, line, and sync for apple to get you buy another down the road for this "portable hard-drive."
