Slimpickens - Enjoy your vacation.
Peace
You can\'t only blame Bush, a news report this morning mentioned that Clinton was just as guilty of not delivering the funds.
Still though, I\'m with you guys in the belief that something about this relief effort seems uncoordinated.
Here is why people blame Bush, whether or not it has anything to really do with him, the public peoples mind span last only a few years. Thus, because all this
**** is happening during the Bush administration he will get the blame. Rightful or not. You also need to remember that a vast majority of the public doesn\'t care about who is responsible they just want someone to blame. Not everyone is educated enough to look back in time and get answers to the problems of today. Most people care about now, not then.
And I agree with you that Clinton is somewhat responsible for the lack of fundage, but Bush apparently had cut back more funding to make room for the war fund.
I leave you today and for the weekend with one final article. Krugman puts things so much clearer than I, maybe thats why he\'s getting paid by the Times...

Billy ya beat me to it. This one says it all. How Bush can look at himself in the mirror is beyond me. Even through all of this, he still has that stupid smirk on his face. The man has no empathy whatsoever. If I had the chance I would slap his lying two faced face. The biggest tragedy of all is this never had to happen. Impeachment proceedings need to begin ASAP. God this makes me so sick.
said so perfectly Mark, nothing more can be added.
Tiger Sharks? Where you gettin\' your info? Some other crooked hat wearin\' board?
supposedly CNN mentioned it.
Said they have come down stream and over where the levee broke.
The sharks also have laser attached to their heads.

No words can describe this picture........(weird)
That is a legit photo.
Bush wanted to sing a few songs. I believe he sang here, When the Levee Breaks or was it the House of Rising Sun.
Who\'s idea was it to build a medium sized American city below sea level anyways. Not only that but several years ago, they decided to build all these floating casinos and such in Mississippi to attempt to bring in more tax revenue. We all see the result of that. I heard someone they were interviewing on CNN last night (his name and title escape me). The governement is more intersted in spending money on projects that have a quicker solution opposed to spending many years making a levee more fullproof. Back in the hurricane that hit down there in the 60s they were supposed to fix everything then by 1975. Here we sit in 2005 and have to look at this. This whole situation just frustrates me so much.

The history of New Orleans dates back to the Spanish and French in the early 1700\'s. This was a town where sailors could come to trade and not have to make a huge voyage up the river. At the base of the Mississippi, it was a great place for trading and everything floats down river. New Orleans is also built on swamp lands. The first levee was built back in the 1700\'s, the French knew it. We knew it too. It has been reported that Bush took money from FEMA to use on Iraq.
This is just a reminder how outdated a lot of our government priorites are.
Here is a link I found on another message board that I think is a great summary of the way some people feel.
Kayne West on NBC Discuss....
that
****\'s crazy.. dont know what to say. part of me just wants to laugh my ass off because of kanye\'s final comment, "George Bush doesn\'t care about black people." his delivery is ridiculously entertaining. i just watched it 4 times in a row and still cant help but laugh. im also ripped.
I f\'in love that Kayne West clip. I don\'t know anything about his music, but I may go and buy some of his stuff tomorrow. He\'s got Meyers thrown for a loop. Mike\'s got no idea what to do or say.
One of my professors sent me a link to a web blog hosted by someone that is in NO, it has some pretty crazy stuff on it, including eyewitness accounts about what is going on. The link is

Also, I know most people are donating to help the people, but the animals need help, too! I dontated some to both. A lot of people that were able to get there pets out of the city were not allowed to take them with them to the shelters they were going to so they had to drop them off at animal shelters that were already overloaded and filled to capacity. Plus, people are going around and rescuing people, but they won\'t let them take their pets. I donated to the NSAL, they are using the money to rescue animals and feed those that are in overcroweded shelters. Here is the link:
