Did archive.org change?

Recently I have found it difficult to search and use the Live Music Archive. Has anyone else noticed the change. I do like how you can hear the show on a little player on the page but hate how I can not find the download of FLAC files. Can anyone make sense of this disaster? If so, please help.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

did it ever...  just google archive+new for a **** ton of pro Vs. con.  searching totaly sucks now but is possible.  on the flip side, uploading is easier.  but that only helps those of us that tape/post.

I just uploaded a couple of new shows last week. The uploading is marginally better at best. The only real difference seems to be that they create the upload directory for you. All of the other info you must enter seems to be the same. It just shows up on a different form. I have not tried it through IE, which appears to be new.

The search interface seems to change from day-to-day. Sometimes, (like today), I can still browse by year. Other days, that option does not seem to be available and the year options are no longer available. It will only allow browsing by collection.

^^ while you\'re right, the initial upload proccess is marginaly better at best just the ability to edit my own files makes it all worth it for me.

The browse by years layout seem to intermittently come and go. This afternoon. when I looked from at work, it worked but now it doesn\'t. I also noticed that when the \'by year\' interface is not available, the show count, in the \'by band\' page is incorrect. If you look at \'The Breakfast\', it currently shows 3. Earlier today when the \'by year\' format was functioning it read something like 192.

You can connect with an FTP client and queue all of the files you want to transfer. The FTP client will then transfer them all with no more interaction.

A short circuit in the A/C system in one of our datacenters, a bunch of machines are still down. Much of the Wayback Machine, some of our items are difficult to get to.

Wednesday, May 31, should bring most back up, but there will be some lingering issues for this week.

Sorry!

I believe this problem was occurring well before 5/31.

They have been experimenting with new stuff for as long as I can remember. I d\'l from there using ftp and, as far as I\'ve seen, it is much more organized and eaily acceptable.
