I\'d like to hope you wouldn\'t see then
any night, but it is what it is. I agree with both you and jocelyn; they do good work some times, but the organization could definetly be run better.
Drew, tell your mom thanks for the info, but I\'ll take a rain check on the presentation
Here are a couple of charities that I hold near and dear to me...
Children\'s Hunger Fund
http://childrenshungerfund.org/ I have two friends who work there and I\'ve taken part in their Holiday Toy Wrap. What an amazing event.
And then a local-to-CA charity is the Valley Trauma Center
http://www.valleytraumacenter.org/ They deal with Sexual Assault and Crisis Intervention. I\'m currently in training to become a
**** Crisis Advocate with them. They have an event called Walk A Mile In Her Shoes
http://walkamileinhershoes.org/ where men walk for one mile in women\'s high heel shoes to both raise money and awareness. I took part in it two years ago and it\'s a powerful event. I believe there is one in CT raising money for a local organization similar to the VTC.
good to hear from you Reagan! Hope the west coast is treating you well.

hijack.....is it me...or do women wear the stupidest shoes. i would give money to an event like this...but i would never wear high heels....and there are some women that look amazing in high heels....but who really cares.....they are stupid stupid shoes that mostly look stupid and serve little or no purpose. is it me?
post modern western equivalent to chinese foot binding imo.
"the girls walk by...dressed up for each other....."

 so true! I can\'t wear them for an entire night and usually end up barefoot at some point! There is a purpose for them, however - they slenderize the leg by adding length and also make the ass appear more curved and lifted, which some women do need help with!

So does going to the gym :duck:
Long term regular use also causes a shortening of the calf muscle which causes problems down the road.
mommy, where do cankles come from?

It\'s treating me as well as it can. We had a dry winter, so fire season may be interesting. I got one of those "We haven\'t heard from you in forever, please stop by" emails a week or so ago and decided to check this site out again. Prior to the other night I hadn\'t been on since 2005. Whoops. I also refused to get internet for a year, but now I need it for work.
As for the comments about the shoes...yeah, I wear heels to work and take them off. I walk around my office barefoot most of the time. Luckily I haven\'t hit a staple yet.
"Walk A Mile..." is a great event and a lot of fun watching the guys try to walk in 4 inch heels. Several guys came up to me and said they respect me more because it sucked and they were in pain.
The guy I dragged into it bought his own shoes and they were wedges, so he kind of cheated. He was skipping down the road enjoying himself.
Hope you\'re well, Paul.
