I don\'t know if there was ever a thread about people and their pets before...if not..here we go...if so....here we go again.

I just adopted a dog last month (my first ever in my whole 27 years!) and I adore him! He is like my baby. And even though, he\'s chewed up two of my favorite flip flops, I would never trade him in. His name is Charlie and he\'s a terrier mix, full of personality. I adopted him from the Hamden-North Haven Shelter. I totally recommend ALWAYS adopting from the pound. These poor little guys! They break your heart!!

So, anyways, I want to hear some other stories about everyone and their pets. Cause i know Charlie amuses me everyday...hes always doing something strange.

for example,

He crawled into a box of old childhood things from my nanny\'s. and now walks around with a baby doll.

or my personal fav, everytime he does something "bad" when "mom" isnt around. he "hides" on top of the dining room table.

So anybody else got wacky dog stories???

this is my black **** java. she\'s 13 years old. i got her after marching in the memorial day parade in bedford, ny when i was just a wee little girl scout. java is a lesbian (especially for daisy, my mom\'s dog), she does not like people of color-even though she is black, and despises most men. she also bit the mailman when she was just a little pup. java\'s full name is java midnight burke. she\'s in va at my parent\'s house and i miss her a lot.

Java is one furry doggy! She\'s a beauty! What kind? She looks like a mix of a few things. And, Are all dogs racist? Cause mine is too. And our mailman is black, so I am getting concerned.

if i had any idea what mix she is i would tell ya. it\'s been a mystery for 13 years lol. when i got her at the shelter they said she might be part sheepdog. that\'s all i know. she is definitely a manhating racist girl and hates most birds too.

my girlfriend has two puppies... well one is 5 years old and the other one is 7 months old. the older one is a Shepard mix she rescued from the local animal shelter last year and the other puppy is a rescue from down south some where.... AL or TN and we can\'t really figure out what he is.... some sort of hound mix. great puppies but too smart for there own good.
