Not sure if people have already heard about this but, a release date has finally surfaced for this: 4/25/06

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is the much anticipated sequel to Square\'s top selling game Final Fantasy VII. The sequel however will not be in the form of a game [like Final Fantasy X-2], but instead as a CG movie.

The movie will run for somewhere between 100 - 110 minutes and will be released on DVD and UMD [for the Sony PSP]. It will feature a total of 20 characters, including the popular Cloud and Sephiroth, and is being developed by Square-Enix in conjunction with Visual Works.

if anyone wants this, my buddy got it a few months ago, the japan version thank god

for those of you who played the game the dubbed version will be horrible! lance bass is doing the voice of sephiroth!

So I finally got around to seeing this and WOW!

If you played the game, you should def see this, even if not and you like animation check this out, it\'s got some great fight scenes (the one between Tifa and the new guy Kadaj is very cool) they do a great job of incorporating aspects of the game (summons, overdrives ect) into the movie, all in all it really looks cool, and kept me entertained for an hour and a half
