Oh, HELL yeah!  Never been to this place.  It\'s in Logan Square, the same neighborhood that the former Boulevard Cafe was in, where I saw my first Breakfast show in 2003.  Going to try and get some peeps out for this one. :awwyeah:

confirmation that Fu is headlining this bill..??
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

I am hoping I will make it to this show.  I have never seen Kung Fu and by chance I am flying into Chicago that night.  I may miss a little of the Hue, but hopefully will make it to see the whole Kung Fu show.

Last night was the first time that: a.) I saw Kung Fu and b.) I\'ve seen live music in almost two years.  In fact, the last live show I saw was Tim with Willie Waldman and Vinnie Amico in Indiana, two days before the first Kung Fu show at Stella Blues back in 2009.  After seeing and enjoying the videos of the band in youtube, I had forgotten how profound live music can be, especially played by musicians of the highest caliber.  I was pretty much blown away from the first note.  Tim and Adrian continue their telepathic musical journey on stage, this time, with a cast of different players than who I\'m used to seeing them with, all of whom are great musicians in their own right.  Although, I think most of us here on .info do understand that whatever project they are in, it\'s probably going to be a winner.  They definitely had Breakfast-like intensity at many times, as the rhythm section frequently drove the band into overdrive. The highlights for me were Botz, which was pretty epic, as well as the encore, Gung Ho. It\'s fun for me to hear tunes from Jaco and Herbie Hancock, since I grew up on that stuff.  The funk was laid on heavy, and I figured if you weren\'t movin\' and groovin\' during this show, you were probably dead.  No, it is NOT The Breakfast, who, along with their fanbase, has become part of my life over the last 8 years.  But with the current hiatus, I\'ll gladly go out to see Tim, Adrian or any other member of The Breakfast, past or present, play again when they come back to my neck of the woods.  Josh, nice to see you, albeit, when I was leaving and Gordo, were you there?  If so, sorry I missed you bro.  The Lucky Bastard.
