powernap done. prepatrying about to begin! :^)
whoo hooo!!!
Hope you all enjoy the Breakfast in your neighborhood. It\'s nice to see a small but growing pocket of fans down in D.C.! Hope the word gets out after tonight\'s show.
too bad the show was actually 21+
...found out the hard way
UGH. holly, that SUCKS.. i have to apologize, because i feel partially at fault. i have 18+ listed here, but the official b\'fast site has 21+. however, in the list of gigs that tim emails me, it definitely says 18+..
Thu Feb 17 - Velvet Lounge (18+) 915 U St. NW Washington, DC
202.462.3213 / Tix $6 / Doors 8pm / Opener 9pm
Breakfast 10pm / www.velvetloungedc.com****..
it\'s alright dave..even jambase has it up as 18+..not a big deal, i\'ve driven further for shows, at least this one was only 25 minutes from my house.
that def. sucks, Mama.. we been down that road enough.. festival time will be here sooner than you know it, and you won\'t need an ID anywhere..
there\'s gonna be one drunk underage girl right here!
BUquebus-get aim you worthless piece of crap, just kidding i caught you a delicious bass today, but seriously, get it i\'m not kidding this time
from what i remember....
inner glimpse
ldz>
beef barley
(now let me just tell you about this bb. strong contender for jam of the night! its a good song and all, but it doesn\'t usually do *that*!!)
some stuff i\'m forgetting
karn evil 9
the chase
firey ball
gladys pimp
(i just realized i remember much less than i thought i did...)
second set had
superfly phaddy daddy
mayfly disarray
no regret
a jordan song i\'m spacing on
phaddy boom batty (with a hail to the chief tease - \'exercise your rights!\')
and the utterly ridiculous
gravity>rufus>gravity
to close the show!
sorry it\'s not more complete, but i figured i\'d give y\'all a quick taste of the insane pummeling that dc just took. it was big jam after big jam, with that rufus just shaking the place! if that\'s just the first night of the run, folks in two days are gonna have their spleens shook loose! i was really impressed with how huge ron and adrian were sounding tonight, too. not that jordan was slacking, just that i thought those two were really thundering.
as timmy said afterwards, \'well... *that* was a workout!\'. its not often you leave a thursday night show drenched in sweat and beaming, but we sure did tonight! :^)
Did enough people get to experience the Breakfast?
i thought that there were a decent number of people there at the begining (although it is a tiny space. kinda like setting \'em up at the end of your living room), but at setbreak a lot of folks trickled out. thursday night, and all that. which i guess is a bummer, but the guys played so hard second set that you couldn\'t tell they weren\'t in a packed stadium!

very nice!! Amazing how such good jams could come out of such a goofey song!!
looks like a great show!!
I agree, sometimes I kinda of sigh when they start playing it, but then ten minutes later they are in the middle of some crazy jam and you forget what song it is!

unfortunately i had to leave during setbreak...early work.
the first set owned my face! there was some serious jamming in barley. not sure, but wasn\'t there a no glove no love in the first set?
can\'t wait for johns hopkins!!
