Wowzers! Just got home from U-melt,a sold out show..Dirty Paris was super oober amazing. All the while I kept thinking--all of these people should be here for TB because U-Melt is decent, but still mediocre.

...yeah rufus needs a rest every now and again.  Got there at just about 1:00, due to work, got a beer found Jen, and had about 3 seconds to spare before Maggot Brain started.  That was pretty much the one song I didn\'t want to miss considering I haven\'t seen it since, oh uh, the short beach saloon show on 1/6/01, kinda been dying for it ever since.  Let\'s just say was NOT disappointed, blown away would be more appropriate.  Pretty cool to see Rico Lewis play the drums while Adrian played guitar too.  Clearly the highlight of my night and had I seen nothing else, I would\'ve totally been satisfied.  But luckily that wasn\'t the case.  Wish I knew the names to all the other songs.  I mean I knew them, but never knew the names.  I was glad to hear a favorite that Deep Banana Blackout played all the time, I think it\'s called, Verge?  Whatever, seeing the roughly 45 mins. that I got was more than enough to completely satisfy my needs...musically.  Tim said there was no time for a P-Funk medley, so I the played one, that didn\'t make any sense to me, but it was funny, I think that crazy little **** would have done every song in their catalog if there was time, and been totally happy to do it.  I don\'t know as much P-funk that I should, according to some, more than I thought, but was that an impromptu freestyle by Rico during on of their songs, it had an old school feel to it, but sounded off the top of the head.

They should really consider doing that again, maybe throw a horn or two into the mix...
