I was at The Field on Saturday and there was a very nice crowd in there for an average band, although I imagine no one was really there for the band. I am very confident if just 15-20 Breakfast faithful show up it will be a *Great* turnout. I am really looking forward to this.
Will their stage setup for a full ellis show?

No stage. They are basically set up in the corner of the dance floor. I would be surprised to see any lights. Even when there is a live band, the restaurant caters to the bar crowd and not the music. The house lights will most likely be on the entire show.
There will be a lot of people there to drink and socialize, not necessarily to see live music. That being said, I hope the band can win over some new fans.
Are they gonna get a couple solid sets in?
Its a borderline drive for me I wanna make sure I get my (free) money\'s worth
I was wondering that, myself. It looks a one 2 hour set kind of deal. Does anyone (Dave, Todd, Tmn8r) know for sure???

Personally, i\'d like them to just play one long set if they are not going to go on until 11:30, but I would imagine they would take a short set break. Maybe like 15 minutes or something.
I am going to talk to my friends who have an apartment that is 5 minutes walking distance from the Field. Hopefully we can get some pre/post game activities going...I\'ll let you all know.

i don\'t think your friend would be down to host the type of post-game activities that would most likely be happening
there are a couple places within walking distance that would cool to go...ash creek would prolly be the best bet...they have their own brew from magic hat....called ash something i forget but it was in play mag this week with a little write up about the black rock area...

With the news of minimal lights, I might not go.
Give the increasing price of the remnants of once illustrious dinousours and their supporting vegitation, is anyone from the boston area thinking of going to this show that would like to car pool?
they should play a death metal parody version entitled "living on a slayer" with tpalms finger tapping and sweeping through the whole thing... adrian on vox... chris and matt both on guitar... and lets of headbanging.
sorry, yeah this discussion should be over

I think t(he)y would be down to drink some beers after the show. I don\'t know where you were going with that one Zuke. I guess you and me have different ideas of what late-night is all about.

Can I ask why the Breakfast fans only show up when the band is playing?? If there\'s no cover and the place is basically taking money out of their own pocket to pay the band then why wouldn\'t you want to support the place so they\'ll hire them back again? Also, it always amazes me that people will spend their money at other places in New Haven and then just show up at Toad\'s for the show. The way these places stay open is mostly from the bar profit so why not help out places that support the band.
Plus....why does it seem that B fans don\'t support other bands. Wouldn\'t it be the cool thing to show up and support all the bands on a bill? It\'s not like you\'re "cheating" on the them by checking out some other music. I\'ve always wondered that.
