Hell Yeah! I\'ll be there with several people in tow. I\'ve been putting the hard sell on everyone I know to come out to the gig at Smith\'s Olde Bar.  Tuesday can be a tough night to play but I am confident there will be a relatively high energy level that night.  Playing Smith\'s is a smart move - much better than the Brandyhouse which is only good on weekends - Smith\'s might be the only venue in ATL with a consistent crowd on weekdays. As for Athens the next monday, Last Call is also a great venue.  The hotness of the chicks at that place is unreal.

I must admit that I am a little concerned with the potenial "doozie factor" that accompanies playing a Tuesday night anywhere (Tuscaloosa is apparently the exception, as last time they played there was a Tuesday during exam week & the place was still bumpin\').  I should also have a decent size group with me... we will just have to pick up everyone else\'s slack...

Do bands always play upstairs there?  I hope so, as that is a cool room... pretty big place to fill on a Tuesday though....

Although doozies aren\'t what the band wants....There is something very special about attending a doozie, IMHO.

maybe, but I would trade the energy of a packed house for the intimacy of a doozie any day.

My 1st show was a dooz for sure w/ like 15 people in the hse. It was a spectacular show that was made better by the lack of audience thus affording myself the chance to help "inspire" them @ setbreak. It also seemed they were a bit relaxed as there was no pressure whatsoever to perform well and like the consummate pros they are that only helped them ROCK harder. I must say though singing along is alot better w/ others.
Worrying is like praying for something you don't want.

i usually prefer noone else there or around  when i attempt to sing, so doozies are better for that, and you can get away with doin something cheesy/risky...but the southern shows..although i am skeptical about them playin some of these shows down there due to doozie factor ..which diectly reltaes to band/crew confidence factor...i think the enjoyable warm weather and hospitable presence of some old friends like Marcial should make it a great time. would love to get another dose of some warm weather and watch Breakfast leave Florida more baffled than last elections.
sleep a lot...eat a lot, brush em like crazy. Run a lot...do a lot, never be lazy..

The first show I saw in Atlanta was a doozie,  but the result was some sick covers, including a wicked Help on the Way>Slipknot (which transitioned seamlessly into a scorching LDZ) , and the night was capped off by a smokin Other One that featured Tim playing the guitar with his teeth at one point, and Seth Yac "chanelling Jerry" from beyond the grave in a ridiculous 15 minute guitar solo.  I guess when there\'s nobody there they\'re not afraid to get crazy with some experimental ****.

But Atlanta will not be a total doozie this time.  Smith\'s gets a consistent crowd even on weekdays and it is a small room, so even 20 people will be enough to keep the energy level up.

Oh yeah - the show will be upstairs.  The last show the Breakfast played there took place on an afternoon which killed the turnout.  The whole idea of the afternoon show was a woefully misbegotten idea that mercifully ended shortly after the Breakfast\'s radio show there.  But Smith\'s isn\'t that big - last time they pushed all the tables and chairs against the wall, making it look bigger than it really is - with all the tables set up it will seem smaller.

I think I\'ve got a pretty good crowd to represent in Virginia. All newbies but hopefully not a doozie!

Newbies are key, even if the show is a doozie.  Don\'t forget, my first show was a doozie, and so was Leith\'s first show, but we became lifelong fans.  What\'s better - one fan who will go to 10 shows a year or 10 fans who will go to one show a year? It\'s about the same. The Breakfast always brings it hard at these out of town shows because they know that even if there are only 10 people in the audience, one of them might be the next Leith or the next Ross Origen.

I think I will convince my Floridian aunt to go to the Fort Lauderdale show next week.  I think she could possibly get into it.  She used to rock in some bands back in the 70\'s.

I feel bad for all of you situated beyond the Northeast (Leith, Marcial, demobug, origen).

Must be tough surviving on a diet of only a couple Breakfast shows per year.
