you should try to go on friday. it\'s veterans day so you won\'t have school. organize a group trip or something, borrow someone\'s car and try to make it to wisconsin. ps/groovatron who? 5 hours>breakfast=worth it.
Kate, I\'m going to jump in and support your travels as well. If you have 4 or 5 of you squeezing into a car (small... decent gas mileage) that\'s only 10 bucks a piece. Then I\'m thinking there will be some chill people willing to let ya\'ll crash on their floor (Madison is home to some heady folks) or if there\'s only a two or three of you going I\'ve got a VDUB that sleeps 4. There will be a friend of mine riding up there with me so I guess 2\'s all I can take in.
Just an offer from one fan to another; I know getting to shows can be aggravating at times. Good luck.

Trust me, I\'ve talked to ALL my friends. My cousin goes to UW Madison and said I could stay with him, but none of my friends want to drive 6 hours. I have officially exhausted all possibilities. I almost didn\'t make it to Umphrey\'s last Friday because my ride called me 3 hours before we were supposed to leave and said he had to work. I spent the whole afternoon convincing a friend of mine to go...thank God he did.
Missing TB out here means I\'ll just have to organize a mass road trip to CT next semester...
hey kate....don\'t sweat it too much, it sucks ass that you can\'t go when they\'re so close, but if you can\'t make it; you can\'t make it. its as simple as that. Your still a valuable fan for the bfast to have and don\'t let anyone tell you any different. You\'ll make the next one....and though it may not be for a while, it doesn\'t mean its your fault....if the band toured more people like you could get a chance to see them more than once a year, or whatever......
long story short... my point is just cause you can\'t make it to the show, don\'t let your enthusiasm for this band drop, we need people like you getting excited about touring to the midwest and elsewhere.....i know you tried hard to get them to the LBC but if you and others keep trying maybe they will do a more expansive midwest/westcoast tour over the winter or spring, don\'t just take the (not so) easy way out and come to new england for a show....make them come to you!
