FYI: The middle-east is a pre-game spot.

I know. But not a good one. This isn\'t my first rodeo.

Why rage where we have to be all night?

Why not get out of the Middle East and try something more appealing, like that party I hear people are having beforehand?

plus, I hate being at the venue earlier than when the Breakfast walk on. It is just me and my way but I know some feel the same.

No, I agree. I deleted my first post....

More generally, I have heard rumors, but never found, any hookah bars in bean town? Are there any that are resonbly priced?

Definition of reasonably priced:
Based of the assumption that beer is reasonable priced a beer at a bar costs about 3x induvidual price.
By that definition, a reasonable cost for a hookah would be $4 a bowl. That is, of course, not possible outside of the middle east - best hookah bars in the world, fyi - so $10-15 is considered reasonable.

This is based off the formula for hard alcohol, not beer. Where a shot of grey goose in your house probably costs you $1 but $10 is bearable at a bar.

I like this idea of finding the "hidden" hookah bars.

Totally down.

I know a few peeps in Bostonia that might be a flashlight in this dark cave.

I have several things to say.

1. I wish I\'d been keeping up in here, cause I just read like 5 pages of notes on this show.
2. I live in Waltham.  I noticed some people saying that they have this friend or another who lives in Waltham.  Well, me too!
3. As I reside in a particularly small dwelling, I\'m grateful for Estah (Esthah?  Esthahhhhh?) and Buquebus\'s volunteering for a pre-game situation.  I will text one of you for directions.
4. I have not heard of hookah bars in Boston or the surrounding neighborhoods.  If anyone DOES know of one, please give a shout out cause boy, could I go for a cold peach hookah, among other things.
5. I want to give a heads up on cheapo cheap parking, for those that will be driving.  A block from the bar is the Green St garage, and it\'s about $3 to park or something awesome like that, as long as you\'re out by like 6am.  I\'m sure you can googlemap it, or you can PM me for directions too.
6. I take dance classes (practically next door to the Middle East) on Weds and Thurs, so I\'ll post some flyers up.  Better late than never, right?

Thank you. :)

That garage is where I always park. Good call. Not expensive, easy to find, always has room.

I am all about a lot scene like those at Porter\'s in 2005.

I\'ll take a lot over a pregame anyday.

FYI:

3pm this Friday tune into 91.5 FM WMFO in Medford for a special acoustic performance by The Breakfast on the PachyJams show hosted by DJ Drew. You can also listen via internet at PachyJams.

gabe and i\'s humble abode is open for pre-gaming actions.  don\'t know about food at our place though...so that is your responsibility.  there are a lot of great restaurants in allston/cambridge (central square).  in response to hookah bars- i know theres one is allston (close to our house) but they don\'t serve booze there.

same here. unfortunately i am not familiar with this said lot. does anyone know if it\'s a guarded lot or metered or whatever and if it might be cool if we brought in some coolers and partied a bit? personally, i\'d be happier than a pig in **** to get nice and sloppy on the cheap before heading into the show.

It\'s a garage, so I don\'t know how great of a place it would be for partying...

This show is going to be off the hook. I made myself a little more secure and got my tickets already, everytime i go in that place it seems smaller. Pregaming is a definite for this show. I hope they will cut me some slack. I asked nicely a long time ago. I can get the van hazy on friday if that would help. Either way its going to be a great night on mass ave. Assuming the weather cooperates i wouldnt doubt a sell out.
