I am gonna hit this one up!
$20 is steep but it all goes to charity.
Seems like it will be a very interesting place for a breakfast show!
"Built primarily as a concert hall in the
late 19 century, the natural acoustics
of the theater have been said to
rival that of Ledgendary Carnegie Hall
in NYC."
http://www.mauchchunkoperahouse.com/Don\'t know how credible that is but I am sure the acoustics are much better than most of the places they play.
So funny you posted this I was gonna do it a couple days ago because the venue looked sick. I remember seeing Phish @ the Spokane Opera House and Trey playing the "climb" in Harry Hood w/o amplification. I can just imagine Scheme the same way there. I did not post as I did not think many would be attending. Glad to see you are going Klout.
Oh and I would gladly pay $20 for ANY Bfast show.
Hey guys.. the $20 is steep BUT it includes admission to the Sons of Leo festival that is the next day... The Breakfast will be performing @ the fesitval the next morning. So you can throw down Friday and have breakfast with the Breakfast the next day. This festival is going all day/ night long too, so if you have the time you can stick around and see other bands too.
Not to mention that Jim Thorpe is a beautful, beautiful town with lots of little pubs and some head shops.
This is 20 minutes from my house, but i will be in Daytona when all of this goes down. If anyone needs directions from the Opera house to the festival the next day i can help! The festival is in the country so i can help get you back to a highway as well. Hit me up with a PM, and i can give you more info.
Just give us directions to/ from your house and the location of the hidden key. We\'ll clean up before we leave!!
I gotta try to hit these up now that my plans crapped out on me this weekend...3 shows in two days sounds fun. That venue looks SER as hell. Hmmmm?
this venue is pretty sweet I\'ve been there 2 other times as from near Jim Thorpe. THere is no bar inside, but plenty of heads will be there throwing down. And as liz mentioned there\'s enough to do in Jim THorpe.
ughh. I would ask Lizz if she has more details. Well actually this is not a Private Party but it is so there may be a chance that you can booze it up in there. I know I\'ve drank there before but that was in a lil backstage area not sure if that will be free for all or not? I would email
SunsofLeo@Yahoo.com for some better info
also check out the fest going on the day after
http://www.sunsofleo.blogspot.com/ if you buy a ticket to that you get into the breakfast show fri free 2 for 1 =)
The Sons of Leo website pretty much sums up all questions! I can find out any info if needed and can help with directions.
Bowman, are you bringing your ass up to the Skook for this?
i dont see myself emailing the sons of leo requesting permission to get boozed up inside thier opera house.
but still..no bar? wait, i wouldn\'t be allowed there anyway

wish i could make it to this..i had thought about it and realized that i am going to end up ridiculously broke if i keep this up. the place looks like fun though.
im gonna have to cancle my saturday lessons and hit this show up
looks like I am ridin in the biff mobile

i think thing 1 and thing 2 wanna come with.
they are TRB
**** reppin
Liz I\'m still not sure I already have a hotey(suite) booked for Sat night in upstate NJ for the Cheese Show. I\'m going to try and come home Fri see the opera house show. Then sat morning catch the breakfast set at sons of leo and then leave right from there to Jersey. Not sure if this is going to be feasible yet or not. I\'ll have to take off on friday. we\'ll see though
Call off work Bowman.. come on, everyone\'s doing it! LOL
As for the Opera house.. no boozing inside the Venue, they don\'t have an alchohol license, but there are a TON of pubs all thru Jim Thorpe.
and for the Sons of Leo, that is the festival the next day where the breakfast will be playing a morning set.
