What a shame/sham. The outdoor atmosphere was superb, especially with kids. I really hope this stays outside, I can\'t imagine  why a band can\'t be playing outside during the day. This is America, land of the free!!!
"Anyone who knows a god damn thing about this band and has been there as long as some of us have, know god damn well that this show was something special." Ren re: Toads 8/23/07

1. I\'m eating dinner at this Bistro tonight.  I hope to enjoy a disgustingly overpriced spanish tapas meal, which will include several glasses of wine.  Then, I plan on telling this dildo that he\'s **** up downtown with his stupid noise complaints, the meal sucked and I\'m never coming back and telling everyone that I saw a rat walk outta his kitchen.

2. I was talking to the folks @ Seven Sea\'s the other night about this noise situation, when another patron chimned in that they work for Cafe Atlantique (the coffee shop on the other side of the Bistro), and the dildo is screwing up their **** too with these noise complaints.  Apparently he lives above the Bistro, with an infant baby.  They can no longer play their satellite radio outside because they are "waking up his baby".

3. Rumor has it, he\'s also complaining about Daniel Street.

4. On a side note, Chris (Caitlin\'s Dad):  you know you can start threads about these Switch Up gigs, instead of hijacking other threads, right?  Just an observation.

Sounds like a good plan Slim.

Sounds like this guy wants a quiet neighborhood to raise a family. Anyone knows that downtown is not that place.

If everything Mr. Kalafus says is true, then this guy is being INCREDIBLY unreasonable and unrealistic.

I plan on walking by his Bistro very loudly, very late, each and every time I\'m in the area. I want to scream until I hear a baby screaming! :muahaha:

Doesn\'t make sense to me. He just must not like music in any way, shape or form considering Friday and Saturday nights at Stonebridge there are hundreds of people outside, and it probably gets just as loud with chatter as it does having music out there on a Sunday afternoon/early evening
"Okay everybody, for my next miracle, I\'m going to turn water into funk!"

The really odd thing: last sunday KC101 set up shop @ Stonebridge and was C R A N K I N G their music.  It was louder than I\'ve heard any solo acoustic act get over there.

I totally forgot about that... too many bud skirts.

^^^Seriously!

Does the whole local music scene need to dry up because a guy won\'t get his act together and get a more baby-friendly environment.  I\'m sure there are other units for rent in the town.

I\'m gonna offer him an apartment trade tonight.  My condo for his downtown digs.

wouldn\'t be a bad trade.

Is this Cafe Altantique or something? Looks like they hosted a little shin-dig on July 12th with other business downtown. The cafe was playing light jazz in the background, yet the little "tour" ended at Stonebridge (co-ran this thing) with a DJ outside.

I think the ordinance just pertains to "live" music, not DJ\'s.

The actual ordinance states that "outside music be limited to pre-recorded music played at talking volume." How they judge "talking volume" is beyond me. Are we talking drunk Walsh or sober Livvy?

update---I spoke with the Mayor of Milford.  He\'s going to try to resolve this issue by having a meeting with some of the downtown merchants including Conine (Stonebridge) and PrickFuckHead (bistro).....  Hopefully that will work but I hear the bistro guy is totally unreasonable and wants Milford to be Sesame Street.  He wants total silence from everyone...

and thanks for the separate Switch Up post comment....It\'s not that I wanted to hijack a post...it just seeemed to fit here.

I like the idea of running the bastard out of town by telling everyone his food is ****.  Someone with attitude like that must cook like **** anyways.

I saw a rat, a cockroach, and had a hair in my food.......service was aweful and the drinks sucked...how\'s that for a stellar review?

Anyways let all meet at Daniel St. at 6 for the Switch Up^ show and on a break go and trash frenchy\'s place!!  We\'ll all go in a just order water and talk really loud, take all his seats and then leave telling we\'ll be back tomorrow to do it again.

And last..he\'s trying to get daniel Street shut down because he claims he can hear "the bass through the walls"

He\'s a sick f**k.....
