Just saw a commercial for a movie coming out based on the epic poem Beowulf. I have no idea if it will be any good or not. It probably won\'t be able to do justice to the epic... but it is certainly a story that could become a fantastic movie. It is a poem, originally written in what has become known as Anglo-Saxon, or Old English. Some consider it to be the greatest complete work in Old English. It is about a Scandanavian prince who manages to kill a monster who has been terrorizing/killing the Danes. Of course, as in any epic, the hero\'s troubles extend long after his first heroic deed. I am curious to see what they make of this...

read it in high school.
too bad I had little care for it then.

Ray Winstone? WOOT!
Ray Winstone? WOOT!
I\'m not sure, but he\'s got 91 acting entries, in IMDB, that date back to \'76. Most recently, he\'s been in the departed. He\'s gonna be in the new Indiana Jones movie.

you sir, know nothing of film...
The adds make it look pretty good, not gonna rush out to the theatre (the theatre is pretty rare for me)
so this is some sort of book or something?
I read the book in high school which was actually pretty good. didn\'t know anything about a poem tho
It was originally written as an epic poem in Old English. Not all poems rhyme....
anyone else think it looks like a videogame? i wasn\'t sure if the actors were "real"
