According to the report, the state trooper, Willie Williams, “smelled a strong odor of marijuana when the driver opened the bus door.” After searching Nelson’s bus, Williams found approximately 1 1/2 pounds of marijuana and approximately 2/10 of a pound of mushrooms. Nelson was issued a citation for possession of mushrooms and possession of marijuana and released.
Nelson, 73, will release his next album, Songbird, on October 31. As previously reported, the disc was produced by Ryan Adams and features his new band, the Cardinals. Jerry Garcia’s “Stella Blue” is among the covers included on Songbird.

After you turn 70 the govt. should issue you marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms on a monthly basis.

I\'m glad to see that the charges are misdemeanors.

I was watching the Daily Show and they were talking about this. They had interviewed some country crap singer (forget his name) and he had been talking about all the weed smoking on Willie\'s bus. This bust occured only a couple days after that interview aired!!! :doh: NARC!!!!

Yeah, but what are the Louisiana laws concerning weed??? Probably much more lackadaisy (sp?) than up here!!!

nah, no jail time in Louisiana... just electro-shock therapy, frontal-lobe-atomy, and a nice vacation at Re-education Camp.

As for the shrooms usually they\'ll just let the coppers give you a little of the ole "in-out, in-out"
