Well, no Breakfast, goes without saying!

But also no mention of the disco biscuits (yeah, I know people here love \'em or hate \'em with no in between).
I think the Dead\'s days are going now - they\'re not going to pull in new, younger fans like some of the other bands will. That\'s also Panic\'s problem. Don\'t get me wrong, I love both bands, but you gotta be realistic.
I don\'t know how they will accomplish it, but the Breakfast can surely be in that category. Especially after seeing them rip through some songs the other night in RI. They were amazing the first time I saw them in \'99 and I can\'t think of any other bands that contend with them.
Since I don\'t make the show curcuit frequently enough, I haven\'t been able to chart any of the recent progress for the band. Maybe some of the die hard, ser fans (Dave, Freddy etc.) would be more apt to discuss their more recent experiences that may help to explain the direction the band is currently moving in. Please feel free to include commentary on the upcoming album, management changes, bookings/venues, musical progression etc....
I remember several high points that occured years ago and may have missed out on recent milestones. Some of the older ones of memory include: Butterfield and Baker quad shows, selling out Toad\'s for the Deuce release party, selling out the Iron Horse, playing all night in Upstate NY, etc, big crowd in Santa Monica etc...
Anyone care to elaborate?
Here is one high point of 2001 right before the awesome, outdoor Baker Quad show. I am the idiot in red and my girlfriend Lauren is in the orange skirt. Dave Peck is well prepared for Wrestlemania 420 with his sleeveless "Just Bring it" shirt. This may have been the show that I kept sticking a beer bottle in Tim\'s face as if it were a microphone. Ahh, what we would give to return to that basement with that band.
ahhhhh!!!
love Dave in those shirtless tees

I remember you being there as well Jocelyn. You were wearing a white t-shirt, possibly with some print written on it in marker.
err, I meant sleeveless. You knew that! :finger: Jeepers, can\'t get away with anything on here.
Al is that pic from the Wrestlemania Butterfield show? If so, yes, I was there, but I did not participate in the wrestling madness because I was too intimidated by Dave\'s shirt. Actually, no, it was the big stuffed fish that scared me off.
I hereby proclaim that we should have a Wrestlemania 420 II so I can get a chance to kick sme ass.
Not sure which side I\'d be on though... before the last time I was definitely on the deadhead side, but now I listen to more Zappa than Dead.... I guess I would still probably fight on the Dead\'s side, simply because of the profound influence they had on my musical taste... pointed me in the direction fo lots of good music. If it weren\'t for them, I might still be listening to the Pixies.
Not that I don\'t still love the Pixies!
Pixies are playing on Dec 1 in Lowell if you are interested in some nostalgic feelings.
If The Breakfast is going to replace Phish, Timmy had better start with the nose candy.
im pretty sure i was snorting
**** in the bathroom when that pic was taken...only kiddin!!
Whoa! Thanks Al... I will most definitely be there; Lowell\'s only 35 mins from me. Also where I go to school. Perfect... that oughta bring me back... Where are they playing?
i think it is at the Tsongas arena.
