As tipped here last fall, Ween has finished work on its first concert DVD, "Ween Live in Chicago." Due May 4 via Sanctuary, the set was taped over a Nov. 7-9 stand at Chicago\'s Vic Theatre and features two hours of highlights from those gigs. Bonus features include the ability to watch three songs from an alternate camera angle and a music video for "Transdermal Celebration."
In addition, "Live in Chicago" will come with a bonus audio CD featuring 17 of the 26 tracks found on the DVD. Fans who pre-order the DVD from Ween\'s official Web site by April 30 will be eligible to win an autographed copy of the release.
"Live in Chicago" is loaded with some of Ween\'s most memorable material, from "Voodoo Lady," "Mutilated Lips," "Roses Are Free" and "Ocean Man" to such oldies as "Big Jilm," "Pork Roll Egg and Cheese" and "Doctor Rock." A cover of Led Zeppelin\'s "All My Love" is also featured. Advance screenings are being organized in Los Angeles, Austin, Texas, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Boulder, Colo., Chicago and New York.
Ween has announced a handful of spring tour dates, beginning April 28 in Levittown, Pa., and wrapping June 12 at the Bonnaroo festival in Manchester, Tenn. According to a source, the band\'s time on the road will be limited this summer as it begins work on a new studio album.
