I got 3 of them : local band does ok, anchor drops, and safety in numbers. i\'m looking for greatest hits volume 3, songs for older women, local band does oklahoma, and one fat sucka. can anyone here PLEASE help me find these? thanks homeys
i listened to an umphrey\'s record on the way to a gig last week. i felt like i almost heard a bad brains influence in there. they\'re awfully metal for a jam band.
they are all on the pig...
u need an invite?
sorry gav it\'s all i\'ve got on the subject...
bezerker, i have them all, IM me OMS211
how are their studio albums? I\'ve only heard like stuff by them which is excellent at times, horrible at other times
safety in numbers has slowly risen to be one of my favorite albums of all time actually. their only REAL studio albums are local band does ok (old drummer, great music, doesn\'t flow so well), anchor drops ( a complete masterpiece of prog-rock) and safety in numbers (an incredible cd all around, lyrically musically everything)
I haven\'t heard it myslef so I am making no perosonal claims, but I heard Saftey in Number swas really bad.

^i dont like safety in numbers. anchor drops is pretty good IMO. this coming from a guy who doesnt like UM.
i would absolutely suggest it, first time i listened to it i didn\'t get is as much, i listened to it the 2nd and 3rd time and fell in love with it, flows incredibly well and is well balanced.
i think it was a step back for UM to do SIN as a follow up to Anchor Drops.
i find myself listening to safety in numbers way more than the other albums. i listened to it at least once on my headphones every day of tour, and still do all the time. it\'s got such well written tunes on it. i agree you gotta listen to it a few times, but it\'s fuckin good homeys

That is because they are not a jamband. They are waay more a Prog Rock band. If Brendan Bayliss left the band they would be all Prog Rock. No doubt about it.
