seen UMelt a few times. i won\'t bash them, but they aren\'t my cup of tea. on a side note does anyone know why its taking me forever to download shows off archive? i used to download almost 2 shows a day, now i can barely get through one set.

Def agree here. Disco Biscuits Uncivilized Area and their album with Mr. Don and Basis For a Day were really good. Not sure why they strayed away from that sound.

I\'m having the same problems. Started about a week or so ago. Some of the downloads stall out, which I\'ve never seen before, and the rest of them take way too long to complete. I usually pull fantastic speeds at my house too so I\'m not sure what\'s up.

i\'ve been uploading faster than i\'ve been downloading over the last week or so. they seem to go through these phases..

hopefully you\'re all downloading via FTP.

I haven\'t been downloading via FTP, but a few days ago I started to do it again, and it still runs slow.

Peck - can you tell me the benefits of downloading via FTP?

you can just queue everything up rather than downloading file by file.

I only saw U-Melt once (maybe other times before I didn\'t even know it was them,...) opening for Umphreys.

Basically thought they sucked. The lead guitar player seemed kinda.... umm, looking for a nice, non-offensive word here.... "emo" . Yeah, "emo". It was like an emo jam band. Sucked..

I heard somewhere that they don\'t "jam" there sets are completely rehearsed, anyone know anything about this?

FTP is the way to go and my downloads fly

They\'re probably all decent musicians, and I haven\'t payed enough attention to them to give them a fair shake... But what I have heard from them has bored me.
